Thriller Political

Arvan Perry is the founder and owner of Arvan Chemicals, a small private company on the verge of bankruptcy working around the clock to achieve the impossible. The company's scientist have developed a polymer that has the potential to not only make billions for the company, but save the future of the company. The US military is first on the list to receive the product because of the durability it has against road-side bombs. Arvan is aware of the financial void his company is spinning towards, so when he receives an offer to sell Arvan Chemicals, he is unable to refuse with hopes his employees and family will not be left hanging in the wind.

Wall Street guru Jack Wiley is ready to make the deal of his lifetime, putting millions in his pocket. Jack has four major finance companies on the line to help with the purchase the small chemical company with a secret; a secret that has the ability to save lives being lost in war. The opportunity to make a lot of money is within his reach as the Capitol Group, a financial mogul, is interested in his pitch. The Capital group has contacts far and wide and deep pockets lined with politicians to make this deal happen. Jack's high hopes for an easy ride to riches hits a major roadblock when he finds himself in the middle of the largest scandal in years as the government begins investigating all the activity surrounding the purchase of Arvan Chemicals.

THE CAPITOL GAME is an intelligent and captivating thriller with scary insight into politicians' lives and the games they play. Brian Haig presented me with a pleasant surprise as I stepped outside my comfort zone. A must read.

SUMMARY

New York Times bestselling author Brian Haig returns with a riveting new thriller about a man caught between the politics of big government and the corruption of big business.

The Capitol Game

It was the deal of the decade, if not the century. A small, insignificant company on the edge of bankruptcy had discovered an alchemist's dream; a miraculous polymer, that when coated on any vehicle, was the equivalent of 30 inches of steel. With bloody conflicts surging in Iraq and Afghanistan, the polymer promises to save thousands of lives and change the course of both wars.

Jack Wiley, a successful Wall Street banker, believes he has a found a dream come true when he mysteriously learns of this miraculous polymer. His plan: enlist the help of the Capitol Group, one of the country's largest and most powerful corporations in a quick, bloodless takeover of the small company that developed the polymer. It seems like a partnership made in heaven...until the Pentagon's investigative service begins nosing around, and the deal turns into a nightmare. Now, Jack's back is up against the wall and he and the Capitol Group find themselves embroiled in the greatest scandal the government and corporate America have ever seen...
