A.J. Alexander just wants to have a nice Easter Sunday with
her mother, but when she stumbles across a man lying
facedown in her mother's garden, an Easter basket at his
side, A.J. knows this isn't going to be your typical Easter
egg hunt! And when she throws her back out while attempting
to see if the man was dead or alive, the pain threatens to
make A.J.'s whole Spring-time miserable.
As A.J. recovers, her boyfriend, police detective Jake
Oberlin begs her to stay out of the investigation, but when
her mother is arrested for the murder of the man who turned
out to be her latest beau, well A.J. isn't going to stay in
bed when there are clues to be uncovered.
Meanwhile, the Sacred Balance Yoga Studio, bequeathed to
A.J. by her beloved Aunt Di, is in danger of being scooped
up by the competition - that is if A.J.'s co-manager Lily
has her way. It's up to A.J. to juggle the studio's upkeep
as well as seeking out a series of coincidences that seem
to link her mother's murder charges and a bevy of rich
widows with the gigolo boyfriend who was found in the
garden.
A girl's work is never done! Good thing A.J. has her yoga
to keep her calm and serene.
In Diana Killian's latest "A Mantra For Murder Mystery,"
MURDER ON THE EIGHTFOLD PATH, she once again delights her
readers with the antics of amateur sleuth/yoga studio owner
A.J., her former movie star mother Elysia, and the folks
who help run the Sacred Balance Yoga Studio. Creating a
lively and adventurous mystery that she has peopled with a
cast of unique and quirky characters, Killian taps into an
area of interest that more and more people are becoming
fascinated with. The only yoga-themed cozy mystery series,
with the inclusion of yoga tips and great organic recipes,
makes the "Mantra For Murder" series a very tempting
collection indeed.
While in her mother's garden, A.J. stumbles-literally-on the
body of her mother's current beau. Now A.J. is going to have
to find her balance and solve the murder without getting
tied up in knots.
