Julian Delane, Earl of Parkhurst is on the hunt for the
mysterious lady who posed for a painting wearing a jewel
stolen from his family. Rumor has it that she is an actual
member of the ton, can it be true that a lady would pose
nude? He is intent on his search to find out. Rebecca Leland has always been sheltered from living life,
with a history of becoming ill easily her family has kept
her away from enjoying the daily life of a lady. Now it is
time for her live and enjoys every detail she can
regardless of the risk it may make to her reputation. When Julian and his friends thwart the robbery of the
painting of the scandalous lady they soon discover the
thieves are none other than Rebecca and her sister and
cousin. Julian has his suspicions about Rebecca and
believes she is the lady in the painting and is closer to
the jewel he plans to recover his family honor. So, when
all three women admit to being the one in the painting it
is the start of a game and a bet that Julian is ready to
win. As Rebecca decides to draw Julian's attention away from the
other two women they find themselves trapped together in an
adventure that will put them in some close quarters and
discover that danger is waiting for them at every turn.
