Romance Suspense

JJ (Jane Jessup) Caruthers thinks she has everything she needs in life until her grandfather gives her an ultimatum: Marry within one year or he sells the family business. At 28, Caruthers Cars is JJ's life. She has always loved the business, even as a young child. Running the dealership is what she was groomed to do and she sees no need for a husband. How is she going to resolve this problem?

After going through four would-be suitors, all picked by her grandfather, and finding them unsuitable, JJ reconnects with David Graziano, a Navy Seal she met almost a year ago at a wedding. There was instant animal magnetism between them at the time, but she didn't even know his last name. After asking around about him, she makes a call on him to offer him a business deal and marriage proposal. After all, a Navy Seal is not around a lot of the time, and that would be just perfect for her.

David is recovering from severe injuries sustained in Afghanistan and has some time off from duty. His mom has also recently passed away and he is left to provide for his siblings. JJ's "deal" of a marriage proposal sounds very tempting. It would solve his problem of taking care of his siblings. After fine-tuning the agreement, he accepts her proposal of marriage and the deed is done within a little over a week.

David does not remember the mad, passionate sex he had with JJ a year ago, and she does not tell him about their encounter. David does not remember a lot of things due to a traumatic brain injury, but the steamy sex is still really good. When he is not cleared for duty and comes back to be with JJ, she is overjoyed and becomes very interested in trying to help him recover. David rejects her offers and tries to shut her out. Their business deal did not include anything about financial assistance for him, and it certainly did not include anything about falling in love.

Ms. Daughtridge has woven a romantic tale of a relationship in which both parties get so much more than they bargained for. SEALED WITH A RING is a page-turner that you just will not be able to put down.

SUMMARY

Navy SEAL Davy Graziano is a happy-go-lucky lady killer, so nobody is surprised when he goes for some "local action" at a fellow SEAL's wedding.

But JJ Lewis turns out to be a generous, beautiful businesswoman and civic leader, and Davy's gotten in way over his head. She's got motives to find herself a husband double-quick and she has the brilliant idea of picking a military husband who'll be away on tours of duty and she won't have to deal with him much. She allows Davy to think he's seduced her at the wedding, but that one nightstand was all the interview process she needed.

Davy has ulterior motives of his own to accept her out-of-the-blue marriage proposal, which is supposed to be strictly a business proposition. But it doesn't take long after the wedding ceremony for both of them to discover they've gotten a lot more than they bargained for.
