Romance Erotica Sensual, Paranormal

As the daughter of an angel and a mermaid, Alexis is very special and very protected. Between her parents and her sea witch godmother, she has magic spells and a legion of Angels to protect her from everyday living and the evil lurking on earth.

All mermaids have unique abilities, such as the gift to heal others or to foresee the future; Alexis' gift is the ability to feel what others are feeling -- happiness, rage, despair and love. Because she lives among humans, Alexis must have magic shields in place so she is not overwhelmed by everyone around her. The one place Alexis feels safe is in her dreams, but for creatures like her, dreams are not always what they seem. One night, a beautiful and tempting man comes to her in a dream, bringing her own desires to the surface. What she doesn't know is that he is real and means to use her for his own gains.

Mina, the sea witch, doomed Dante to a place worse than Hell with a promise; if he can prove he is worthy enough, she will free him. So he spends 20 years finding the right spells, using women as blood sacrifices to gain entry into the dream world to capture and kill the one weakness the sea witch has -- Alexis. His intention is to keep her with him for at least 48 hours. Any more time than that in his world will kill her slowly and painfully as Mina opens a portal out of his own personal nightmare. All he has ever known is violence, rage and killing, so having Alexis in his domain with her soul of light, he finds himself wanting to learn more about her and where she is from. The cravings he begins to feel for her are foreign and confusing, but do not stand in the way of his own desire to be free, yet he hesitates to leave her behind to die.

Hill's world of mermaids and angels is electrifying, dark, clever and awe-inspiring, as is all her work. For those who read her faithfully, there is an exciting surprise awaiting you. A truly spectacular read!

SUMMARY

Growing up the daughter of a famous mermaid and the second in command of the angelic legions can put a lot of pressure on a girl. Though she loves her parents, Alexis has chosen to live among humans as an ordinary college girl, but she can’t hide the tranquil aura of angelic light and empathic ability that draws people to her. Unfortunately, while it draws men to her, none of them are willing to cross the line to find her true heart and soul – or even give her a decently passionate kiss. That is, until she begins to dream of a male trapped in fire and rage, who wants her so badly he’ll tear the universe apart to have her. However, while all she can feel is his pain and suffering, and a yearning to heal him, Dante sees her as the way to his freedom. He thinks he’s willing to destroy her to accomplish that, but once he kidnaps her into his world and is confronted with the girl who is the opposite of everything he’s ever known, he starts to wonder if his freedom is as important as keeping her by his side.
