Tonight was supposed to be a romantic evening with Walter,
yet standing alone outside of the theater Audrey Brookstone
felt anything but romantic. Walter had failed to show up—
again. Although she was upset over the money lost on the
tickets, she was more upset about missing the amazing show
she had waited weeks to see. When an alarmingly handsome
man is looking for a ticket to the sold out show, Audrey
was willing to hand over the two unused tickets.
The attractive stranger who melts her with only a few words
convinces her to join him in watching the show. The show
was probably a great performance but Audrey wouldn't know,
her mind was consumed by the sexy man she allowed to join
her for the show. After a distracting evening, he invites
her for dinner; she refuses but allows for a quick cup of
coffee. A limo drive later, Audrey could no longer resist
this foreign stranger and sexual heat ensues in the back of
the dignitary's ride. Every girl dreams that a prince will
fall in love with her and they will live in happy bliss for
all eternity. Audrey is no exception, only her fawning
prince doesn't dance with her and they live happily ever
after. Edmondson combines every girl's fantasy with a brush
of reality that reminds me of Pretty Woman. The buildup was
well executed and the twists in this story took me by
surprise. A quick read that is sure to satisfy the young
girl within all of us still holding out for her prince to
come.
