When Charlotte "Charlie" Prescott inherits the 1880s family
home in Martha's Vineyard, little does she know she'll be
spending the Christmas holidays with a supernatural being
with a rather erotic history. In addition to her "resident
guest," Charlie finds herself sensually preoccupied with
the very sexy Sam Landry, a reporter interviewing for
ghostly occurrences. With the heat rising between them,
Charlie and Sam soon find themselves falling in love, as
they investigate the mysterious goings-on in the house.
Lillian, Charlie's neighbor, befriends her and Sam in an
effort to uncover the Prescott family secrets. But Lillian
has her own secret, not yet revealed to Charlie.
THE CHRISTMAS SPIRIT is a delightful holiday story filled
with mystery, suspense and lots of eroticism. The New
Englanders' beliefs of supernatural beings are cleverly
woven into the tale. This is a fast read and will keep your
attention to the end, as surprises await the reader on
several levels. Amy Garvey has written a cute, warm
tale filled with great imagination.
Deck the haunted halls for a romantic holiday starring one
shy writer and a cynical journalist...and oh yes, a ghost….
Snow on the roofs and wreaths on the doors and chains on the
tires…isn't Christmas in New England wonderful? But
Charlotte Prescott is too busy taking in super-sexy reporter
Sam Landry to notice the nip in the air. Make that the nip
in the air alternating with the scorching heat that rises
whenever she and Sam are alone together. Charlotte would be
happy to forget the supernatural third wheel who seems to be
staying for the season in the quaint old house she
inherited. It is real. Someone's slurping down all the good
eggnog. And something is drawing Charlie and Sam together
under the mistletoe—not to mention everywhere else. Happy
holidays!
