Gillian longs for a different life other than the one she has now. One that includes her surrender as a submissive to a master of her heart and body. Bruce has long since given up on finding the right woman who is willing to submit to his dark desires. When Gillian and Bruce meet it is an instant attraction but each one is too shy to acknowledge it. Although the two cannot show each other how they feel it seems some others have taken notice of them. The Disciples of Desire, who themselves have their eyes on Bruce and Gillian, each for different reasons. Both Bruce and Gillian both have their own encounters with the people from The Disciples of Pleasure. Who are another whole race of angel like beings and more that inhabit the realm where the two are transported. The Disciples of Pleasure keep and teach humans to let themselves go and enjoy their sexual sides. As Gillian is taken into their world to learn to be a submissive, Bruce in turn is taken to fulfill his own purpose. Gillian begins a long journey that takes her from hiding her wants to finding her heart's content in showing her master her true feelings. Bruce soon finds that he tires of the easy and selfish woman he finds in this realm and longs for Gillian. Wishing that he had courted her back on Earth. Gillian has thoughts of the same nature herself as well. Pure coincidence has the two finding each other in this new world that they dwell in and through all the teachings and obstacles thrown at them they must fight for their love and for each other. SUBMISSIVE was an interesting read. Anya Howard takes the reader on a thrilling ride with lots of action and many a hot and intense scenes of pleasure. Keeping the reader engrossed all the way to the end of the story.

He took her by the arm and turned about and led her away to the edge of the woods. They walked along the boundary until at last they came upon a small rock bench. He leaned her over and set her hands against the smooth seat. Gillian’s heart pumped with growing apprehension. “Put your legs together,” he said and when she did so, he flipped up the hem of her dress. She gasped sharply, but he peeled down her panties without hesitation and unbuckled the belt at his waist.

He patted her buttocks. At her shudder, he bent forward and said into her ear, “You will hold on to that bench without moving, or the next time that these panties come down will be right before I bind you to the Pillar you slept on last night.”
