Kate McDonald is finally settling into her job as director
of the Avondale Puzzle Museum, and getting used to life
again in her hometown of Granville, New Hampshire. Although
her aunt is still trying to fix her up with every eligible
man in town, Kate is content to continue her "friendship"
with Police Chief Brandon Mitchell. And she continues to
mentor her young friend, Harry, the brilliant teen she
hopes will follow in her footsteps at her beloved museum.
But when rumors of a serial killer begin swirling, and
Katie begins to receive eerie and complicated sudoku puzzle
clues to a string of recent murders, well...the small town
life doesn't seem quite so dull after all.
When a
mysterious truck tries to run over Kate and hits Brandon,

and a less-than-stellar former partner of Brandon's, who
seems intent on claiming the out-of-commission chief's
