Separated from the PsyNet, the woman had been broken. Every
single element that defined her as Ekaterina -- friends,
memories, purpose in life -- are now stripped from her.
Savaged in body, mind and spirit, she was then
unceremoniously dumped on the doorstep of Dev Santos, head
of the Shine Foundation. Dev knows the woman is a trap,
most likely set by someone on the Psy council, but he can't
bring himself to kill her.
Renamed Katya, the woman begins her long road to recovery.
Katya hasn't lost everything; she dreams. In her dreams, a
shadowman tortures, breaks and reprograms her. He turns her
into his weapon and his weapon has a target. She has been
instructed to gather information on The Forgotten, the Psy
who have escaped the PsyNet, and beyond that her primary
mission is to kill Dev Santos, the cold and forbidding man
she is quickly losing her heart to.
Singh has really run with her Psy-Changeling world. Good
character development and storytelling make this a stand-
out series among the paranormal romance on the market
today. Readers will remember Santos as an intriguing
secondary character from a few books back and
Katya/Ekaterina, a former colleague of Ashayas. An
outstanding November read!
Dev Santos finds a woman with amnesia — and all she can
remember is that she’s dangerous. Stripped of her memories
by a shadowy oppressor and programmed to kill, Katya’s only
hope is Dev. But he could very well be her next target.
