Shelby's life had been everything except normal. Her
parents had married and divorced four times. Her mother
was a drama queen who caused a scene at every available
opportunity. While her father ran off with every sign of
trouble, but was their for Shelby when it really counted.
Thankfully she had Alex, her best friend. And Shelby is in
love with her best friend's brother, Luke.
Luke was always the computer geek; he loved playing and
creating video games. In order to do so he must live in
California away from his family and Shelby. Luke returns
home to Tennessee for his brothers wedding. Shelby had
received some horrible news that day and turned to Luke,
after spending an incredible night together they learn
Shelby is now pregnant with his baby. Now Luke insists
they marry for the baby's sake and secretly because he is
in love with her.
Kay Stockham is an amazing storyteller and she proves her
writing abilities once again with HER BEST FRIEND'S BROTHER.
It's
definitely an emotional read. I recommend you curl up with
some chocolate and a box of tissues and enjoy. Definitely
a powerful read. Stockham can make her characters seem so
real and normal yet fanciful at the same time. And one of
my favorite types of romances is a marriage of convenience.
This is the third release in the Tulane's of Tennessee
series. Don't worry, if you haven't read the first two you
can still read this book without being lost.
They had one night. That's all Shelby Brookes would allow
herself to indulge in with Luke Tulane. Yes, he's gorgeous.
And yes, he's the greatest guy she knows, but he's her best
friend's brother, for crying out loud! She's pretty
sure there are rules against sleeping with friends'
brothers.
Then Shelby discovers she's pregnant. And
Luke's determined to do the right thing—down to the
bended-knee proposal and the meeting at the altar. As
tempting as his offer is, Shelby's convinced she's not the
marrying kind. She's bound to hurt him, and that's
definitely against the rules of friendship. Still, she
doesn't count on how persuasive Luke can be when he really
wants something…her.
