Rio Rafael is ready to make the biggest decision of his
life after watching his best friend almost lose his mate to
a crazy killer. He quickly realizes that his dangerous job
keeps him from committing to a relationship with a woman he
is destined to love. Rio is finally ready to entrust his
heart to Cyn, whom he's had a no-strings-attached love
affair with for awhile now. Unfortunately, convincing her
that she too no longer wants that type of relationship is
going to be an extreme challenge -- but he wants everything
and he's ready to try anything.
Cyn, or rather Detective Sergeant Cynarra Malva, loves her
job and the challenges it gives her, along with the
exhilarating freedom it offers. She has the perfect life
outside of her Tactical team, as well; her lover is
perfect. He blows into town, stays a few days and
disappears again on what she believes are black op
assignments. His latest return comes at the ideal time; she
is actually starting to miss the beautiful man. However,
she is getting a strange feeling that this time is
different. When he tells her he's looking for an apartment
after taking time off, her future becomes unsure.
I have mixed feelings about this Kathleen Dante
novel. For me, there just wasn't enough action and plot in
the beginning. Even though ENDANGERED starts out somewhat
slow, it picks up steam midway through with exciting flare.
Dante is still an awesome writer, in my book.
Homicide detective Cyn Malva found a compatible lover in
special-ops sniper Rio Rafael. Their no strings- attached
relationship had been ideal, but now Rio is ready to
change the rules in favor of a commitment he knows Cyn
can’t handle. Then Cyn becomes the target of a serial
killer, and soon she and Rio are bound by something
stronger than animal attraction, and love could be the
only thing to save them.
