Fresh Fiction Review

"Delicious like an ice cream sundae, satisfying but over way too fast"

Romance Contemporary, Multicultural African-American

BODY CHEMISTRY, the third book in the Black Stockings series, is the most playfully romantic of the books to date.

Biologist Brenda Everton receives her invitation to join the secret society after being stunned by the suicide of a close friend and failing to win a grant that would continue funding her scientific research. With one failed marriage already behind her and these latest personal setbacks, Brenda decides it would be nice to meet her Ideal Man but has no clue where to begin.

Renowned scientist Dominic Ayers has fame and fortune...and one regret. An encounter with Brenda at the funeral of their mutual friend fuels his determination to be reunited with his ex-wife, if only she'll give him a second chance.

Dara Girard again presents the Black Stockings Society as a means of helping the chosen woman get what she needs and deserves out of life. A new wardrobe and makeover, some perks specific to her life's desires, and a few pairs of sexy stockings that make all the difference in exchange for secrecy.

I wanted Brenda and Dominic together to restore their love and bask in their undeniable chemistry right from the beginning. With each supporting character, it was a matter of being for or against what was clearly the winning team.

Like a delicious ice cream sundae, BODY CHEMISTRY gave complete satisfaction but was over way too fast. I don't know how many more stories are planned for this series but for my money, Ms. Girard can just keep the books coming and coming and coming.

SUMMARY

Every good girl deserves to be a little bit wicked...

Biologist Brenda Everton has excelled in a man's world--often at the expense of her personal life. When she receives an invitation to join the Black Stockings Society, her first impulse is to throw it away, until she starts to wonder just what kind of fun she's been missing...

Now, donning a sequined pair of seamed black stockings, Brenda's taking a meeting with her ex-husband, wealthy entrepreneur Dominic Ayers. Dominic has learned there's a lot more to life than work... and one glimpse of Brenda makes him realize how much he wants to teach her all about letting loose, listening to her heart and finding our whether passion can strike twice...
