Romance | Contemporary

How could she set up the criteria for a wife for Sheikh Amir bin Faruq al Zorha when she loved him herself? But that is exactly what Grace Brown had to do. She had been his lowly personal assistant for years, and he couldn't do without her, but she wanted to be so much more personal. True, she wasn't a princess nor did she come from great stock so to speak, yet she knew him better than anyone. She would just have to quit her job! Grace had to get away from Amir to protect her own heart -- so one last visit to his homeland the desert which he so loved would be the end for her on so many levels.

Sheikh Amir was so astute, but not when it came to women. Granted he was a woman's man -- handsome and all that, but other than a playboy, he wasn't the marrying type. Time to settle down and become a man! Either the king, his dad, would choose for him, or he would have to take control immediately. He would send Grace to the rescue as always. Good old, reliable Grace -- his best friend. He would have her select his wife. After all she knew him better than anyone in the world, but when she foils his plans by telling him she is quitting, he realizes that she is so much more than an assistant -- hope it's not too late.

Lucy Monroe's HIRED: THE SHEIKH'S SECRETARY MISTRESS is captivating. Grace is such a wonderful underdog that the reader can't help but fall in love with her. The sheikh is so strong and overprotective of Grace in all areas but her heart -- the one place he should be. It's delightful to see him pine after her without realizing he loves her. Men can be so silly sometimes -- even if they are sheikhs. A quick and entertaining read for any romantic at heart! Two thumbs up!
