Inspector Andie Darling is determined to prove that
clairvoyant Logan Sinclair is a con. And walking him to
jail means walking her way out of vice and into homicide.
The problem is that she can't quite resist his charms,
which may be dubious but sure are real. But as Andie works to find out what Logan's really about,
she finds herself blackmailed by her boss to bring a quick
end to the case. Mystified, she determines that her
commander is out to get Logan at any cost. Woven throughout this story in Stillings' style is another
story from times past. Andie is getting flashes -- first in
dreams -- of a woman who cries and talks of a man named
Jacob. Andie may need to get Logan's help in finding out
who the woman was, even though that means admitting there
may be something to his clairvoyant talents. KILLER CHARMS is action packed beautifully with characters
who make you giggle and gasp -- classic Stillings. She'll
draw you in with interesting and complex people and then
keep you immersed with a twisty plot. A fun read.
SUMMARY
If he could really see the future . . . Logan
Sinclair is nothing but a fraud. Or at least that's what
Inspector Andie Darling, undercover on the streets of San
Francisco, is determined to prove. Sure, the sexy Scotsman
may say he's a clairvoyant, but Andie's never believed in
second sight—or love at first sight. So why does his sweet
talk turn her into a lovestruck fool? He'd know
that Andie Darling always gets her man . . .
Getting the goods on the elusive con man would get Andie
out of boring Vice and into Homicide, yet all she can think
about is getting into Logan's arms. But juggling her job
and her heart leaves her with little time to protect
herself from a crazed killer hot on her heels. Logan would
love to help Andie—and get closer to her—but charm might
not be enough to save them now . . .
