LAPD officer Samantha is working undercover in a notorious
demon's bar trying to catch him in the act of selling the
new illegal drug Mindglow. Being half-demon herself gives
her some advantages when hanging out in places such as
this, but as she gets closer to the evidence she needs,
chaos breaks out. A man at the bar begins to glow as he
stands up to enter the fight with his dual swords and
flaming red hair. Samantha can hardly believe she's staring
at Tain, the immortal she helped save from an old one, who
healed her broken arm and then just took off without a
word.
Tain, the youngest of the Immortals and created to balance
good and evil, was tortured for 700 years by a powerful
demon before being saved by his brothers and their witches.
Another woman helps, as well, and she's the one he's unable
to erase from his thoughts. Staying away from Samantha is
the only way Tain knows to forget about her, but now he
needs her help. Women from demon clans are showing up dead
and Samantha has the resources to help. Tain shows up at
her home after helping her during the episode at the bar,
intent on asking for her help, but his only thoughts are
how to seduce her.
Tain's story is powerful, sensual and extremely exciting.
The magical paranormal world created with the Immortal
series is phenomenal. Absolutely fabulous!!
As Samantha Taylor investigates the abduction of young
demon women in gritty Los Angeles, she encounters Tain,
the Immortal she hasn't seen since his enslavement to a
powerful demon the year before. Now Tain needs Samantha's
help, and Samantha wonders if she can hide the fact that
she's in love with him while they work together. Tain
spent years being tortured by a demon--the last thing
he'll want is a half-demon woman longing for him . . . or
so she thinks. Haunted by his past, Tain seeks peace by
healing others, but he's never been able to get the dark-
eyed Samantha Taylor out of his mind.
