When he is roused from a 65-million-year long rest, Ty
Endeka immediately feels the predator within him rise to
action. It takes all of his power to tamp down the desire to
hunt, kill, and proclaim his sovereignty. But the world is a
different place than it was the last time Ty walked the
earth, and he knows he has a lot to learn. He has been
summoned back in a human form by his boss, Fin, who shares a
mind connection that tells Ty where to be. When he shows up
at Fin's, Ty enters a room with ten other predatory males,
each spoiling for a fight and determined to be the alpha of
the room. These eleven men, known as the Gods of the Night,
have been summoned to face an ancient evil. The date is
November 11, 2011, and unless they defeat their enemy the
world will end on December 21, 2012. They must join forces
to protect the world as we know it from falling into the
hands of evil.
Kelly Maloy doesn't know much about the man who hired her as
a chauffeur except that his name is Fin and he pays well.
Kelly just needs money to pay for school and she figures
driving around some missionary who wants to help lost souls
is as good a way as any to pay for it. Only when she meets
Ty Endeka, she knows that he's no missionary. The man makes
her feel sensuous in a way that she never has and terrified
in a way that makes her uncomfortable, and the conflicting
emotions make it difficult to be around him. When she learns
the truth about Ty and his friends, that they aren't
missionaries and are instead otherkin, shapeshifters with
the souls of beasts, she has a hard time wrapping her mind
around it. But she soon learns that theirs is an important
battle, and that she might be an integral part of the fight
between good and evil.
ETERNAL PLEASURE is the first book in Nina Bangs's new 'Gods
of the Night' series, and it's an excellent introduction into
this paranormal world. The story takes place in the not too
distant future, but is miles away from where I imagine the
world being three years from now. In Houston, Texas in 2011,
vampires, demons, and werewolves walk the night, yet each of
these paranormal creatures is more than willing to keep to
themselves. That is until the Lords of Time decide that they
will take over the world and they need assistance to bring
an end to the human race. This story was at once erotic,
enticing, and thrilling, with equal parts paranormal romance
and romantic suspense. Ty is a strong alpha hero—a
predator—and it takes him a while to get used to the way
things work in this time. Kelly is a smart-mouthed,
quick-witted heroine who provides a great foil for him, and
these two made sense together, which was fun and
entertaining to watch. I look forward to seeing what happens
next in this exciting new paranormal world.
THE ELEVEN--an alliance of ultimate predators. Primal,
lethal, irresistible.
THE PROPHECY--an ancient Mayan
prediction that the world will end on 12-21-12.
THE
PREY--where can you hide from pure evil?
Kelly Maloy
opens her car door to much more than a great looking
stranger at the Houston airport. Terror, desire, and a
horrible truth climb in with him. She's only supposed to
drive Ty Endeka around the city for a few weeks. Too bad
no one tells her that once day fades she'll become part of
a battle fought in the darkened streets with an enemy that
isn't human. And the sensual man who feeds her fantasies
hides a soul that gives new meaning to animal
magnetism.
Eleven Gods of the Night... The only
creatures more deadly are the ones they've been summoned
to destroy.
