Winter MacKeage is the seventh daughter of a seventh
daughter. Despite the mystical implications of her birth
(her father's a medieval Scotsman brought forward in time
to meet her mother), Winter considers her life fairly
common. That is, until Matt Gregor walks into her art
gallery, buys a couple of her paintings and commissions her
to design his home to be built on Bear Mountain.
Drawn to the handsome newcomer, Winter agrees to work with
Matt if he'll allow her friend to remain on the mountain.
As their relationship begins to flourish, Winter comes to
realize Matt may not be all he says and discovers there's
more to her past and future than she ever knew.
Soon Winter is forced to make decisions that could change
not only her destiny, but her future with Matt. Will she
accept her calling and be able to vanquish the enemy Curam?
And exactly where will Matt fit into her life if she
chooses to embrace her destiny?
Chapman has a wonderful story in ONLY WITH A HIGHLANDER.
Her characters, both human and animal, are delightful, and
she has a gift for creating twists and turns of fantasy.
Winter and Matt are perfect together, and the supporting
characters are colorful and fun. As a new reader of the
Highlander series, I found myself wishing I knew a bit more
of the earlier stories. Highlander fans are going to enjoy
this addition to the series.
She must choose between her destiny...and her desire.
As soon as Pine Creek's new mystery man steps into her art
gallery, Winter MacKeage is intrigued. This sexy stranger,
Matt Gregor, wants her to do some drawings of his dream
house. And with his tiger-gold eyes and masculine charm,
he's impossible to resist. But so is Winter's Scottish
heritage. As the seventh MacKeage daughter, she must
embrace her true magical calling...and deny her mortal
desires. Soon Winter is heating up -- in Matt's strong
arms -- and her fiery heart is torn. Can she give up the
destiny she was born to fulfill for the only man she's ever
truly loved?
