Romance Historical

Desiree was taught well by her mentor Hubert on how to be a near perfect thief. He bought her from her parents when she was barely a teen and now as a young woman she can pick pockets with the best of them. Hubert is all Desiree has and when she finds out that Hubert will be hanged because of murder, Desiree knows he was framed! But she arrives too late and the old man is soon hanged by his neck. She won't quit till she finds out who is responsible even if that means tangling with Nicholas Grimshaw, the most feared lawman in Canterbury and all the land.

Nicholas may have a reputation of being cruel and using torture to get answers, but most of what is thought as fact is not true. Nicolas is very much alone and can hardly stand his work. But when a raging woman comes at him with a knife because of the last hanging he was in charge of, he feels alive for the first time in a very long time. He was with Hubert the night before he was hanged and promised Hubert he would take care of his "granddaughter" Desiree. Nicolas feels it is his responsibility and honor to help Desiree and he takes her on as his cook and housekeeper. Desiree may have quite a mouth on her and likes to annoy Nicolas every chance she can get, but she secretly longs for the safety and home Nicolas has given her.

Soon these two become more than just master and servant. Desiree wants to belong to Nicholas as his women and not just a person to keep his home clean. She now knows that Nicolas is not the evil man everyone believes him to be. And Nicholas prays that Desiree will want to stay with him and not go back to her old life of stealing. But Desiree has an enemy who wants something that Desiree has. Desiree may have to betray Nicholas if it means saving his own life over her own.

DANGER'S KISS is one medieval romance that should no be missed. Nicholas and Desiree are a wonderful couple and because they are two total opposites, there are many laughs because of the way they act with each other. Sarah McKerrigan is known for nice lighthearted stories and DANGER'S KISS is one of them. But there is a bit of a mystery in between the pages and a villain that is up to no good.

If you like your heroines who are sassy, strong and thrive with a hero who can see her self-worth and importance in his life, DANGER'S KISS is the perfect read for you!

SUMMARY

She always ran from the law. Now she'll seduce it.
A trained thief, Desirée of Canterbury can wriggle out of any tight spot with a coy smile. Until she meets her match in Nicholas Grimshaw, the most feared lawman in the shire. Ruggedly handsome and all brawn, Nicholas is the key to avenging the unjust execution of her elderly guardian. Yet the crackling passion burning between them, stoked by every stolen touch, could defeat all her plans.
Nicholas is bound to Desirée by a debt of honor-though the lush, quick-witted beauty may be the death of him yet. Unwillingly installed in his household, Desirée mischievously disrupts his well-ordered life until he doesn't know whether to kiss or kill her. But soon Nicholas must use all his wiles to save them both from a merciless enemy...and, finally, claim her merry heart.
