Romance Suspense

Laurel Jennings has a hard time making friends, and the few she has made she has lost either through their betrayal or through their death. Her closest friend and co-worker, Jonathan Linton, was recently murdered, and she is being arrested for his murder. On first inspection, all evidence points to her -- she found the body, her fingerprints are on the murder weapon, and she has no solid alibi for the time of his death. She has no idea who could have killed Jonathan with such passion, but she knows that she did not do it. Will she be able to prove her innocence from behind bars? Or is there another power at work trying to keep her locked up forever?

Damon Metcalf left behind the fast paced life of a District Attorney and settled for a slow paced life in Montana. When he receives a fax about the arrest of Laurel Jennings for the murder of Jonathan Linton, Damon finds himself on the first plane back into that fast paced world. He plans to offer his services as her defense even though he worked prosecution for all those years; however, Laurel refuses his services. When he can find no other attorney that is not somehow associated with the Linton family, she has no option but to keep on. Will their old chemistry flare back to life or is it too late to try? Will Damon be able to save Laurel from the death sentence that her crime demands?

Jamie Denton beautifully crafts multi-faceted, gripping suspense laced with romance. Her characters are diverse and add a wonderful dimension to the plot as the reader receives glimpses from each of their points of view. Ms. Denton's tale consists of mini stories that she combines flawlessly to create an exciting thriller. I love romantic suspense and Jamie Denton is an author that I would highly recommend. REMAIN SILENT is a fast paced suspense that keeps you glued to the edge of your seat and flipping those pages as quickly as possible.

SUMMARY

When You Know Too Much

Laurel Jennings may be an expert at art restoration, but she's a novice at the justice system. When her business partner Jonathan Linton is found dead and she's charged with the brutal murder, she needs help--fast. But with the powerful Linton family wielding their vengeful influence, the only lawyer willing to represent her is her former lover.

Sometimes Keeping A Secret

Damon walked away from the L.A. County DA's office when his star witness in an infamous drug lord's trial was gunned down on her way to protective custody. Protecting Laurel is Damon's first priority--even if she has made it clear he's the last man she wants representing her.

Is The Only Way To Save Your Life

A chance discovery throws Damon and Laurel into a conspiracy that could rock the art world to its very foundations - with deadly consequences. With only each other to turn to, Laurel and Damon find the passion that once burned between them is a dangerous risk when betrayal lies at the heart of Jonathan's murder--and the body count keeps rising. To protect the future, and keep the past buried, Laurel and Damon will have to stay together, keep calm, and remain silent...
