We return to Cedar Cove, where this time the featured
couple is Roy and Corrie McAfee. They're delighted that
their daughter, Linnette, has moved back to town and are
pushing her into a relationship with horse trainer Cal
Washburn. But Linnette has a mind of her own and will not
be pushed. The McAfees are also worried about the anonymous
notes they've been receiving lately referring to a secret
from their past. Not sure what the person means, there are
many tense moments for the McAfees. As a former cop and now
P.I., Roy is investigating the situation, hoping to uncover
the identity of the culprit.
While all of this is going on, we catch up with the other
Cedar Cove residents introduced in earlier stories. 50
HARBOR STREET is a great addition to Macomber's popular
Cedar Cove series, where she makes you truly feel a part of
the community. It's like coming home, and I look forward to
the next installment.
This novel continues the story lines introduced in the
previous books. In particular, the mystery surrounding
private detective Roy McAfee and his wife, Corrie. Someone
has been sending them puzzling messages, and in the course
of this story the mystery is solved and the person behind it
is identified. Many of the other residents of Cedar Cove,
including Grace Sherman, Olivia and Jack, Maryellen and Jon,
also make appearances.
