Lusahn q'Arc is a warrior from the Otherworld. When she
learns her brother Barak isn't dead, but living with the
hated humans, her people's enemy, she arranges to meet with
him. But instead of Barak, the man who shows up is a human,
the Paladin warrior Cullen, who bested her in battle once
before. Only now, he's in her world and wants her help in
stopping the criminals who are smuggling out blue stones,
the only source of power her people have. If she's
discovered harboring him, she'll be damned as her brother
was and executed.
Cullen has thought of Lusahn constantly since they battled
one another and has dreamed of making her his own. When he
gets to her world, he discovers she's in danger from one
(or more) of her trusted comrades. He must convince her to
leave her world and everything she knows and come with him
when he returns to earth.
When I first picked up REDEEMED IN DARKNESS, I wasn't sure
I'd like a story set mostly in the Otherworld, but I hadn't
missed any of the other Paladin books and just had to read
this new installment in the series. However, I was drawn
into the story immediately. I loved the strength of Lusahn
and her determination and love of her people. Cullen is a
perfect match for her in every way. Willing to defy
authority to save the woman he wants, he's the thinking,
feeling, alpha male we all dream of. A good read.
A fiercely beautiful female leader from the Other world,
Lusahn q'Arc can't forget the Paladin warrior she met in
battle--his chiseled body and piercing, thoughtful eyes
still haunt her dreams. While investigating the smuggling
of the mysterious blue stones used to light her shadowy
world, Lusahn receives word that her missing brother,
Barak, is still alive--and working with the Paladins.
Although angry at his betrayal, she arranges to meet him.
But at the appointed time it is not Barak who arrives, but
Cullen Finley--the enemy warrior who torments her memory.
Intense attraction immediately burns between Lusahn and
Cullen despite their rival loyalties, and they can't help
surrendering to passion. Their time together is limited,
though, for soon Cullen must return to his own world--with
or without Lusahn. But when carefully laid plans go awry,
together they must fight to keep their forbidden romance a
secret--and keep each other alive.
