Maddie Dupree has just cruised into Truly, Idaho, in a new
black Mercedes to write her latest true crime novel about
the demise of a married man, a sexy waitress and an enraged
wife from 29 years ago. Maddie typically writes about high-
profile psychopaths and serial killers, but this time her
topic is more personal: Maddie's mother was the waitress.
After uncovering her mother's diaries, Maddie sets out to
interview anyone she can find in Truly who knew about the
crime, including the married couple's children -- Mick and
Meg. Mick and Meg grew up as orphans after their mother
shot their father and his latest conquest before turning
the gun on herself.
While doing her research, Maddie gets distracted by Mick's
legendary good-looks and charm. While her body is screaming
for a break from work and her self-imposed four-year run at
celibacy, her head is telling her that Mick is the last
person she should become involved with while writing the
book.
TANGLED UP IN YOU uncovers a twisted mess of past family
dysfunction and deceit. Maddie and Mick just might find out
that the same passion that fanned the flames of desire for
past generations is still smoldering today.
Maddie is determined to uncover the untold story about the
town's sordid past — her past. As a child, Maddie lost
everything, and now she's back at the scene of the scandal —
a local establishment that's always belonged to the
Hennessys — determined to uncover the truth, and nothing is
going to stand in her way. Especially not a black-haired,
blue-eyed Hennessy.
Everyone in Truly knows that the Hennessy men are
irresistible, and the current owner, Mick, is no exception.
His late father was a skirt-chasing heartbreaker who ended
up causing disaster for two families. So far, Mick's
managed to keep the ladies in line, but when he claps eyes
on Maddie, with her luscious curves and tempting lips, he
can't resist getting tangled up with her.
But Maddie is keeping secrets, not the least of which is
her true reason for being in town. And when Mick discovers
what‘s really going on, there is going to be a whole lot of
trouble in Truly.
