Retired SBC Champion Simon Evans has earned his reputation as one of the best fighters, best trainers and as a man of integrity. After Simon catches his longtime girlfriend cheating on him, he moves out and makes the decision to return to fighting. Convincing his best friend and fellow fighter, Havoc, to be his trainer, Simon sets into training. That is until the day a leggy woman enters Dean's training gym in Harmony, Kentucky, and asks to speak to Simon. Dakota Dream's arrival definitely interrupts Simon's training.

Dakota Dream's stepfather has demanded that she find Simon Evans. Using her investigative skills, she's tracked him down for her stepfather, who claims he's Simon's father. Finding Simon, otherwise known as Sublime, wasn't hard; Dakota is an avid SBC fan. She's immediately attracted to Simon, and even after he refuses to meet his father, Dakota hangs around the gym. She has to convince Simon to meet the man. Her stepfather has something she wants badly, and if she doesn't convince Simon to see his biological father, her seedy stepfather will destroy it. The longer Dakota stays in Harmony, the more she doesn't care about the past. She's fallen in love with Simon.

Simon can't get his mind off Dakota. He imagines a hot body under her non-flattering baggy clothes. Jealousy builds as men from her past show up in Harmony. Dakota knows how to fight; she has self-defense training. Simon arranges for some of his best friends, other SBC fighters, to teach her better moves and keep an eye on her after someone pushes her down some stairs.

Simon pulls away when he discovers Dakota's secrets before she has a chance to tell him herself. Team comes into play as the plot heats up and friends form the line to defend Dakota from her past.

Lori Foster dishes up some dreamy guys in SIMON SAYS. Some are well-known from her previous Harmony story, CAUSING HAVOC. She introduces us to a few new men I'd love to read about in future stories. Foster knows how to mix strong-willed male and female characters together for some heated chemistry. A great summer read!
