Nora Clark is the responsible twin sister -- taking care of
her son, working as a physical therapist and maybe living
life a tad too seriously. But despite her attempts to
maintain a rigid respectability, her sister, Suzanne,
somehow cons her into trouble. Suzanne is out of town and
one of her personal shopping clients has an emergency. So
she asks clothing-challenged Nora to pretend to be her.
The results are disastrous. The client emergency is for Dr.
Erik Morgan, who works with Nora. When attraction bursts
between the two, Nora knows she must tell him that she's
not really Suzanne. But she puts off the inevitable because
she's afraid Erik will dump her. Big mistake. . .
THE SISTER SWITCH is part of the Singles...with Kids series,
as Nora has a son. This book was really about Nora's
journey back to the world of romance after her husband's
death. She's walled herself off from men and focused on
taking care of her son. Erik has his own issues and they
both need to make significant changes to be together. This
is a well-done character book, but you do have to suspend
belief that he couldn't tell the twins apart when he runs
into Nora at the hospital.
What single mother Nora Clark knows about style would fit
on the head of a pin. Yet with her identical twin begging
her to cover her job as a personal shopper, she wriggles
into her sister's clothes and does what she has to do.
But backtracking on her borrowed stilettos seems like the
smarter move when her sister's new "client" turns out to be
a surgeon at the hospital where Nora works in real life.
The attraction between Nora and Erick is undeniable, but
what will happen once he discovers the truth about her lies?
