Veronica (Ronnie) Jinkowsky is a strait-laced lawyer whose
only risks in life seem to involve her four-time ex-
husband, Jake Jenson. She has married him and divorced
him four times. The two cannot seem to come together
without sparks flying. Her nice boring Jake-less life is
about to be set spinning by her estranged grandfather
Frank. When Frank signs over his house, business, and
other property to her, she seeks out Jake. She finds him
at a poker tournament, one of the reasons for their
numerous divorces, and finds that he has a fiancé. Using
Jake's advice, she sees her grandfather. Frank tells her
that he is facing bankruptcy and wants her to take over
his treasure hunting company, Jinx, Inc. Will she give up
her stable life to accept Frank's proposal? Will she be
able to move past Jake?
Jake Jensen has come to a point in his life where he is
ready to settle down with someone other than Ronnie;
however, when she shows up at a poker tournament with a
serious concern, he is ready to dismiss his fiancé. He
joins Ronnie at Frank's house, and hears the proposal, but
he knows that Ronnie detests boats and the ocean. He
figures there is no way to lure her out on the treasure
hunting expedition even if it is for pink diamonds. When
they meet the other members of the team at Frank's
request, Jake is jealous of the other men's interest in
Ronnie. What is Frank's true intent in bringing them
together for a treasure hunt? Is he ready to give up
Ronnie without a fight?
Frank Jinkowsky has only one motive and that is to get
Ronnie and Jake back together again. He wants them to be
happy and knows that they will only be happy with each
other. He will stop at nothing, and he recruits the help
of some other individuals. Will Ronnie and Jake succumb
to Frank's ploy?
Sandra Hill has written a fabulously funny story. Jake
and Ronnie have a definite chemistry no matter how much
they try to fight it. The secondary characters including
some of those Cajuns are truly outrageous. Their scheming
and conniving to reunite Jake and Ronnie adds tremendously
to the story. PINK JINX is an entertaining tale that must
be read.
Caught! Straight-laced Boston lawyer Veronica "Ronnie"
Jinkowsky knows something's fishy when her estranged
grandfather lures her to his New Jersey treasure hunting
business with woeful tales of old age and bankruptcy. But
she never expected the salty old dog to shanghai her into
a hunt for pink diamonds with her poker-playing, four-time
ex-husband Jake Jensen in tow.
HOOKED...
Betting her heart on Jake was always a losing proposition;
yet just the sight of his come-hither blue eyes is still
enough to melt her steely resolve. Now she's on a high
seas' adventure that throws together lost gems, lost
ship, and lost love--not to mention a Mafia widow, her two
goons, and an elderly Cajun matchmaker hankering for hanky-
panky--
AND GOING DOWN FOR THE LAST TIME!
Ronnie is trapped with the man she could never learn to
live with--and was never happy without. A jinx of the
best possible kind.
