Abby Knight knows her cousin's wedding isn't going to go
off without a hitch (when has Jillian ever done something
easily?), but even she is surprised when a dead body turns
up during the reception. Plenty of people could have wanted
Jack Snyder dead -- the woman he abandoned after she'd had
his baby, her father, the man he'd stolen a small fortune
from, an ex-cell mate, and that's just the short list.
Warned away from the investigation by the officer in
charge, Abby reluctantly tries to mind her own business.
She's unable to resist becoming involved when the number-
one suspect is the new boyfriend of her co-worker and
friend.
With the assistance of former cop and possible-boyfriend
Marco Salvare, Abby begins questioning all the suspects. In
between running her flower shop, Bloomers, helping her jerk
of an ex-fiancé keep track of his 90-year-old grandma and
keeping an eye on one of her oversexed teenaged helpers,
she begins building a case against each of the suspects,
but is unable to prove who the real killer is, until it's
almost too late.
DEARLY DEPOTTED is a fantastic follow-up to SLAY IT WITH
FLOWERS. Ms. Collins' writing style is crisp, her
characters fun (Abby's extended family is lovable and
enough to drive anyone a little crazy!), and her stories
are well thought-out and engaging. Abby has spirit and is
willing to do anything for those she loves. All in all,
this is an enjoyable adventure and well worth the read!
Abby has her hands full at her cousin Jillian's wedding as
florist, bridesmaid, and grandma-sitter-all while wearing a
hideous dress. Then the groom's 90-year-old grandmother
goes missing from the reception. On her search, Abby finds
the corpse of guest Jack Snyder. Now she must find out who
killed Jack in the pulpit.
