Pitch us your newest book in one sentence.

In the middle of proposing to the woman of his dreams, a paraplegic hero shifts into a grizzly bear. One that has full use of his legs. OMG!

If you could meet one of your characters in real life, who would you choose and what would you do?

The heroine of ALPHA UNLEASHED is a feisty, take-no- prisoners kind of woman. She’s gone toe to toe with a grizzly bear (shifter) and stood strong. She’s also soft when she needs to be, though the balancing act is tough. Alyssa is the woman I want to be, so I’d love to hang out and take pointers from her.

What gets your creative juices flowing when you’re brainstorming a new story?

Talking to best friend Cindy Dees. She always gets me thinking in the weirdest possible directions. Also, um, I might eat dark chocolate during a bubble bath. No music, just perfumed water, candles, and dark chocolate. Something wonderful is going to happen whether or not my creativity gets sparked.

Which part of Readers & ‘ritas are you most excited about?

Registration. Seriously. Well, not actually registration, but I hang around in the hallway and just gab with people as they arrive. I love, love, love it. Plus I spend some time looking at the raffle baskets and thinking about the books I want to read and the stuff I want to win!

We’re all romantics here, so we need to know—what is your all-time favorite love story?

My favorite love story (okay, yes, I’m going to be corny) is my own. I met my future husband at a really awful time in my life. He literally saved me, and every time I think we’re getting boring, I find a new dimension of love for him. We’re about to celebrate our 35th wedding anniversary.
