I love music. There is nothing better than hearing that song come on the radio, cranking
down the windows in my car and turning up the sound. Or, in the case of a tear-jerker,
turning up the sound and singing along as loudly (as as off-tune) as I can.
It should come as no surprise that I love rock stars, too. Male and female, old-school or
completely knew, tall or short, fat or thin...if they sing a great song, I'm going to
remember them forever. Here are my Top Five Favorite Rock Stars:
5. Elvis. I can identify with all those panty-slinging teenage girls in the 1950s
when it comes to Elvis. His voice can go so low you just can't help but feel it. And those
hokey movies! Gah, kids on the beach singing and dancing? Come on, did we not all have that
fantasy as children?
4. Rick Springfield. Okay, so he's aged a little. But go YouTube Jessie's
Girl or Affair of the Heart (from the 80s versions of the songs) and you'll see
what I mean. I mean hear what I mean. Okay, fine, see what I mean.
3. Jon Bon Jovi. I mean, come on. The man is practically a senior citizen and he
still looks like he's in this thirties (which were also good years for him). Plus, his
voice does that crackly thing that just screams emotion to me.
2. Pink. Yes, I'm putting a girl on this list. BECAUSE GIRL'S CAN BE ROCK STARS!
Pink is just. Wow. First, she's very fit (have you seen her do the ribbon workout/singing
thing? Holy schnikies!), but also she doesn't take herself too seriously. She's the kind of
girl you can glam up with, but who's still going to belch at some point.
1. Adam Levine. It's the tattoos, they fascinate me. Plus, he wears a beard well
and I've been on a facial hair kick lately. In all seriousness, it's the singing. He hits
that first note and I get the feels. All of them.
Who are your favorite rock stars?
Once upon a time, Kristina Knight spent her days running from car crash to fire to
meetings with local police—no, she wasn't a troublemaker, she was a journalist. When the
opportunity to focus a bit of energy on the stories in her head, she jumped at it. And
she's never looked back. Now she writes magazine articles by day and romance novels with
spice by night. She lives on Lake Erie with her husband, three–year–old daughter, and
twenty–year–old fur–kid. Happily ever after.

This book is a novella.
Katrina Phillips is itchy. The job that has always challenged her seems stifling, her
friends are all pairing off and she's been without male companionship for seven long
months.
Josh Hanna is paying off a debt: fly to LA, play backup for the house band during the
season finale of Star Power and then back to his boring - and sober - life in San
Francisco.
But five years hasn't been long enough to douse the flames between them, and its hard to
remember why things went so badly in the first place...
