Thanks so much for hosting me today!
I wanted to talk about Caroline, the main character in my latest release, NEED ME.
She’s a courageous woman, full of spunk. That spunk put her into a
life-threatening situation when she was fresh out of college and she’s curtailed
her wild side into a fashion style that makes her look as spunky outside as she
once was inside. I thought it would be fun to show a few pictures that fit the
personality I went for in her character.
These are the types of things Caroline wears on a daily
basis (the bolder the better).
Caroline would likely substitute a good pair of combat boots for heels, though,
she hates heels…and she’d likely go for a very bold color accent either in her
hair or jewelry. She might even change out the leggings for an even brighter
pattern.
She wears short, spikey hair quite often. Here’re a few cuts that she’d definitely enjoy. The first
picture is tamer and she’d probably only wear this in a professional setting.
The latter fits her personality better and her dark hair would be even more
dramatic.
This very accurately portrays what I see in Caroline.
Tough. Aggressive. Yet very feminine in a too hot to handle, sort of way.
The photos were taken from hair-salon and fashion websites and
represent the type of girl I see in Caroline. She doesn’t like to shop so she
orders everything online. Etsy is her best friend though she spends only minutes
there as she’s frugal on fashion. The hair cut is done by the local barber
around the corner from her business. After all, who cuts better short styles
than a barber, right?
Want to learn more about Caroline? Read my new book, NEED ME,
which just released. Read the first book, TEXT ME, too – she really livens things up for her business
partner Abigail.
About NEED ME
Aspiring journalist Caroline Sanders doesn’t have time for frat parties and
college keggers—not even when the gorgeous Roger Freeman climbs into her car
unexpectedly one night on campus. The two are inexplicably drawn together but
when Caroline’s offered a prestigious internship that could lead to a job at
The New York Times, she leaves Roger behind for more serious prospects.
Six years later, back home and starting a new career as a florist, she’s shocked
to run into Roger again. He’s never forgotten the girl who left him to find
herself, though he’s certainly tried. As the two begin seeing each other and
grow closer, he finds it impossible to resist falling for her once more. What he
doesn’t know is that Caroline’s life over the last few years has been filled
with tragedy, and the adventurous and exciting woman he remembers is all but
gone. Is Roger ready to risk his heart again, and is Caroline ready to trust him
with her story?
