Aaron Tabor | Jesus Daily
December 5, 2014
This Christmas, give the gift of daily hope and inspiration. JESUS DAILY, the book based
on the themes of the popular Jesus Daily Facebook group, is available just in
time for giving season. Read a devotional excerpt below, and leave a comment
below to be entered to win a copy of the book and a t-shirt. *** Mary was a young, inexperienced girl, and as the angel described
what her son’s purpose would be as the Son of the Most High
and the great mission being entrusted to her, it must have frightened
her. She probably did not know what her son’s “reign” would
look like. No doubt she could look ahead and see the lack of understanding,
hurt, and ridicule that awaited her. She would have to tell
Joseph, her fiancé, and he would surely reject her and send her away.
The future did not look good. So, with surprise, we read her response. “I am the Lord’s servant.
Let this happen to me as you say!” Mary, obviously, could
see something more. She had a glimpse of the Bigger Picture. She
was prepared to say yes to this task. She had been listening to God’s
voice and knew how to recognize it. Therefore, when she heard him
say something that didn’t quite make sense, she was ready to obey
because she knew it was from God. Her deepest desire was to do
his will. What is your deepest desire? Can you say yes to God no matter
what he asks?

My deepest desire is to live a life with purpose. I hope that I would be able to say to God no matter what he asks! (Jenny Ford 1:59am December 5, 2014)
My deepest desire is that Our Lord will reveal Himself to my loved ones.
Yes, I am willing to say "yes" to God no matter what He asks. However, even if we do say "no" God still loves us. Remember, God allows free will and God does not want slaves.
Best to all who entered. (Holly Loch 3:01am December 5, 2014)
Anyone who believes in a Higher Power would say yes to God, no matter what he asks. As far as my deepest desire, it would be just to be the best person I could possibly be, to serve God in the way he wants us to, so that I could be as close as possible to Him in this life, looking forward to eternal life with Him someday. If I can stay on the right path, I know that He will be proud of the way I served Him in this life. After reading your book, I'm sure it will give me inspiration to continue on this path. My deepest desire is to do God's work, as God's co-creator of a world where everyone has traction, now and into the future. Figuring out how I might better do that amid my constraints is the tricky part. (Mary Ann Dimand 10:13am December 7, 2014)
