Top 10 with Jennifer Zane | Favorite Places... So Far!

Here's a list of my top ten favorite places to visit. These are spots that I've been to and LOVE, not bucket list destinations (that's a different Top 10!)

1. London- The best food! Any kind of food you can imagine. I love Indian cuisine and this is one of the best places I've found for it. (My mouth is watering!)

2. Hyalite Reservoir near Bozeman, Montana- I lived in Bozeman for five years and this spot up in the Indian Peaks mountains above the town is one of the most breathtaking spots ever. EVER.

3. Scotland- My husband and I went for a wedding. I loved the rugged terrain and weather. So lush and green and it reminded me of Montana. You have to be hearty to live there!

4. Savannah, Georgia- I went to college here. If you're a history buff (especially the Civil War like me), this is the place to visit! The weather is amazing in January and the flowers are out!

5. Overnight train from Moscow to St. Petersburg- Think Orient Express meets every WWII movie you've seen. I went in high school--it was cold, cold, cold! Military men with machine guns walked the platform. The train boasted wood paneling, real sheets and blankets, a huge samovar (in comparison to Amtrak in the US, this was gorgeous and a step into the past!)

6. Provence, France- With the tree lined boulevards and the fields of lavender, well...it's just about perfect.

7. Adirondacks, Upstate New York- I grew up visiting this area and it's in me. I live in Colorado and see mountains every day. But the lush, green, and craggy Adirondacks with the beautiful lakes is something I miss. I do NOT miss the horse flies!!

8. Kauai, Hawaii- I was going to narrow it down to one part of the island, but really, how? I love Poipu, Waimea Canyon and the north shore. There's not one part that I can leave out.

9. Wengen, Switzerland- No cars allowed! I love this little town that you need to take a train to visit. Perched up on a cliff with sweeping mountain views--it's a perfect place to get engaged (like me!)

10. Nowhere, USA- This is a broad place. Living in the west, I road trip often. This means driving across open expanses of nothing. Utah, Wyoming, Montana, eastern Oregon, Nevada, North Dakota and other spots, I love the feeling of being free. No people, just land and sky. I imagine what it was like to travel in the same place without a car, how rough it must have been. Yes, I'm a history buff.

About HOT PURSUIT 3

Anna Scott has given Nick everything. Her heart, her body, and the truth about her past. But every action has consequences, and now, thanks to her, Nick is in more trouble than ever. He's running from his old boss, distracted from his undercover work, and secretly negotiating with the most powerful mafia boss in New York. She knows the only way to free him is to step into the spotlight once more and face her enemies. She is convinced that Nick must stay in the shadows to be safe, but the stubborn man isn't cooperating. Once she learns the truth about him--that he's really Jake Griffin--she realizes that his sense of honor and duty will get him killed. Protecting the man she loves is the only thing that matters to her now, no matter the cost.

Jake Griffin is in love with a woman on the run. The woman he knew and fell in love with was an illusion born of desperation. Anna Scott has powerful enemies and blood in her past, but neither can deny the passion between them. Grif will do whatever it takes to help her, including recruiting a notorious killer to help him. Grif will walk the razor's edge between right and wrong, good and evil, truth and lies, because Anna Scott is everything to him now, and he'll play any game, take any risk to save her from the monsters in her past, and from herself.

About Jennifer Zane

Jennifer Zane has lived all over the country--from Georgia to Maryland, New York to Colorado, including an exciting five years in Montana. Her time in Big Sky country was the basis for this book. When she's not writing, she savors the insanity of raising two boys, is figuring out how many meals she can make with a pressure cooker, and teaches a pretty mean karate class. She currently lives with her family in Colorado.

Re: Top 10 with Jennifer Zane | Favorite Places... So Far!

Since my traveling days are long gone, and I haven't done
extensive traveling as you have, this would be my list.
1. The towns along Lake Huron, especially Port Austin. The
people are friendly, the views are spectacular, and there
are places to stay or camp. I love the spots to find
serenity, and can't let out the areas that are my favorites,
or they won't remain serene.
2. Southern Tennessee, near Pigeon Forge. Haven't been
there in quite a while, but loved the area. Beautiful
scenery, places to shop, lovely people who are very
talented.
3. Green Mountains of New Hampshire. Absolutely
breathtaking scenery. Good food, especially seafood in that
area.
4. Mammoth Cave, Kentucky. Most incredible place I've ever
seen. A place to be experienced. People who are friendly.
A lot of places to shop, since it's a tourist area.
5. Leelanau, Michigan. Beautiful area to stay. Friendly
people. A lot of places to go near the water, as well as
other nearby towns to investigate. Great food.
6. Petoskey, Michigan. Known for their stones, if you can
find one in the water, as opposed to the gift shops. A lot
of places in the area to investigate. Good food. Friendly
people.
7. Lake of the Ozarks, Missouri. Beautiful scenery. Wide
open area. Nice people.
I enjoyed reading your list, and will enjoy reading your
book a lot more than lists about favorite places, although I
found it a bit fun. Congratulations on your book, which
will be on my TBR list!!
