While the weather around the country may be cooling, its heating up inside the
Electric Tunnel with Asher Peterson and his faithful employee/part-time lover,
Nataleigh Dallas. Inside the deep navy and purple velvet walls of Sin City’s
hottest adult-entertainment spot, the bouncers, strippers, and one former-FBI
agent thrown in for good measure are burning with passion, money and deceit––all
set against the sparkling lights and glitz of the Las Vegas Strip.
Although ELECTRIFIED leaves the reader with a happy ending for Sienna
and Carson, there are still many unanswered questions left to unfold in Book Two
of the series. Mostly about the man of the house––Asher Peterson––and where he
came from before changing the face of exotic dancing and how or why those
details are so interconnected with Nat’s life.
With SMOLDERED releasing and the mysteries surrounding our
scruffy, blond-haired bad-boy in a suit on October 16th and my
fortieth birthday following a week later, I’ve been thinking about a few
suggestions to heat up the fall. Nothing like a big birthday and a dude on a
motorcycle to make me think sassy, bad girl thoughts.
Five quick ways to build heat this fall.
- Fireside Happy Hour. Have cocktails with your someone special
or the person you want to fill that role in front of the fireplace. Make
sure there is a comfortable rug underneath you two because you never know what
may happen…
- Book & Bath Time. In ELECTRIFIED, Sienna is caught taking a warm bubble bath on a
number of occasions. In fact, my street team has come up with a little inside
joke about “Sienna’s soapy thighs.” Wouldn’t you love to have a former FBI
hottie run his hands up and down your shapely soapy thighs? That would certainly
bring the heat. Well, the next best thing is lighting a few candles, filling the
tub, and slipping in with a hot book.
- Take a Quick Trip to Where it all Happens. A bit crazy and
extravagant, but there is nothing spicier than Sin City. I am actually heading
to the Vegas Strip this month and planning on doing some research [wink,
wink] and maybe, just maybe a pole dancing class. If you do head to the desert,
make sure you take a few notes for me. There will be an Electric Tunnel
Book Three, TINGED.
- Latte Together. If Vegas doesn’t happen, grab coffee with your man
[or woman]. Apparently, sparks flew between Carson and Sienna at the coffee shop
in ELECTRIFIED. There is something about the aroma of coffee
and cinnamon combined with the warmth of a hot beverage sliding down your
throat…possibly with your hand slipped into someone else’s rough one…that makes
for an excellent aphrodisiac.
- Heat up the Griddle. When you read SMOLDERED,
you may catch Natalie in a compromising position in the kitchen. How could you
not cool yourself on the granite with Asher manning the griddle in close to
nothing? I vote every Sunday this fall as cook naked in the kitchen day.
Somehow, I don’t think my family will find that very amusing…but there are
always sleepovers at grandma’s house.
And I will wrap up quickly now because you are probably running to do one of
the above, and I don’t want to stand in your way.
Get in touch and let me know how it went for you! Don’t forget to smolder on
October 16, 2014.
Asher Peterson is a self-made man, owner of the Electric Tunnel, Sin City’s
hottest adult entertainment spot. Brazen and formidable in designer T-shirts and
motorcycle boots, he seems unflappable whether he’s making his rounds through
the decadent decor of the Tunnel, or whipping through the desert heat on his
bike. But inside he is a shattered man, desperate to understand what
unconditional love from a woman feels like.
Hiding the effects of his emotionally stunted youth behind a gritty persona, and
keeping his fractured soul buried deep while seeking out his baser instincts,
Asher is convinced he is man enough to leave the past in the past. The only clue
to his broken soul is his deep-seated need to provide safety and a good life for
emotionally damaged women within the glamorous walls of his strip club.
Fooling himself that he deserves little in life, Asher keeps his big heart
tightly guarded with everyone but Sienna Flower, his friend, business partner,
and headliner. Until, that is, the night he runs into his childhood friend,
Natalie Parker. While trolling a rival strip club, perusing their offerings for
his own personal pleasure, he collides with his past. Coming face-to-face with a
woman he only knew as a girl, he’s shaken when he finds the dark-haired beauty
in a precarious position. Now all grown up, she’s a hardened soul who reminds
him of where he came from, and stirs within him the need to protect yet another
woman.
Known as Nat to most everyone, Natalie is a single mom to Quinn. But when she’s
under the bright spotlights in a thong, she’s known as Natasha or Nataleigh
Dallas. A girl who once had everything going for her, she’s now a jaded stripper
with only room for her son in her life, and has erected impenetrable barriers
around her heart. The strength of those walls is challenged the night a man she
has known since childhood steamrolls his way back into her life, flashing those
smoky-gray eyes that have always melted her.
A man she has loved from afar since she was a young girl, one who lights fire to
her walls, burning deeper, setting everything ablaze––smoldering her.
Asher and Natalie, two people who are equally tormented by their own demons, set
out to rescue each other as part-time lovers in a torrid, desperate workplace
affair. Thinking they can remain friends while keeping their hearts at a safe
distance, they find themselves at odds when their situation morphs into a messy,
tangled mess.
Ripping free of each other proves impossible as they learn that the very web
that connects them goes much deeper than they ever expected.
