Navy Medic Opens One Millionth Care Package from Lindsay McKenna and Operation Gratitude

Here's a photo I'll keep forever… It is PO2 Brooke Oekerman, USN, medic, the "Millionth Box" recipient about the USS Gettysburg opening the box to see what's in it.

To your right is Carolyn Blashek, who started and runs Operation Gratitude. To your left is some of her fab Operation Gratitude support staff and of course, the sailors on board this ship.

And guess what? There's the book I wrote, HIGH COUNTRY REBEL, with an autograph, and Brooke is holding it up! I hope she loves the story. She's Navy, I'm a Navy vet and the book is about a Navy SEAL coming home to Wyoming. It is part of the popular Wyoming Series that I write.
