I’m so excited that Addicted is finally out! The second book in my NYTimes Bestselling Ethan Frost series, it was a ton of fun to write—and I hope you enjoy reading it just as much as I enjoyed writing it. Addicted is the continuation of Ruined, and as such expands on the tumultuous relationship between Ethan and Chloe as secrets are revealed that change everything they think they know about each other—and themselves.
One of the questions I get asked regularly is “how do you come up with the characters you write about?” The truth is sometimes shaping the characters in my books is a difficult thing—deciding on their back story, their motivation, their voice and the best way to keep a story moving and a reader interested. But Chloe pretty much came to me fully formed, a voice in my head that knew exactly what she wanted and how she was going to get it. She was broken, terrified that she was ruined by her painful past. There was a spark about her that I loved, though, and I knew she just needed the right guy to help her see all the wonders life still had to offer her—as well as help her understand that damaged doesn’t actually mean ruined.
For Chloe, I created Ethan Frost, the CEO of his own bio-medical corporation. Ethan is brilliant, gorgeous, and has a wicked sense of humor. But he’s also kind and a major philanthropist who gives as much of his time to the causes he believes in as he does his money. Oh, and he’s also a great love who sends really thoughtful gifts, because … why wouldn’t he be? Of course, Ethan has his own secrets and his own darkness—he’s just better at hiding it than Chloe is. And when those secrets come out, their emotionally and sexually charged relationship turns dark fast.
One of the things I loved about writing Ruined and Addicted is the fact that my characters are flawed. They are damaged, they have been hurt, and yet they’re both really good people who are trying to make a difference—for themselves and, more importantly, for the world around them. Ethan works to save the environment and to make sure VA hospitals and war-time surgical theaters have access to the latest and greatest medical equipment he and his team of engineers can design while Chloe is determined to protect the voiceless, to help those who can’t help themselves.
Anyway, Addicted is my thirtieth book and I couldn’t be more thrilled about celebrating that milestone with Ethan and Chloe, two characters who seem very real to me despite the fact that I made them up. Thanks so much for listening to me ramble ? You can check out excerpts from Ruined and Addicted at Blog and you can catch up with my craziness by following me on Twitter or friending me on facebook!
Have a great rest of the week and happy reading!

Tracy Wolff collects books, English degrees and lipsticks and has been known to forget where-and sometimes who-she is when immersed in a great novel. At six she wrote her first short story-something with a rainbow and a prince- and at seven she forayed into the wonderful world of girls lit with her first Judy Blume novel. By ten she'd read everything in the young adult and classics sections of her local bookstore, so in desperation her mom started her on romance novels. And from the first page of the first book, Tracy knew she'd found her life-long love. Now an English professor at her local community college, she writes romances that run the gamut from contemporary to paranormal to erotic suspense.
And for all of those who want the unedited version:
Tracy Wolff lives with four men, teaches writing to local college students and spends as much time as she can manage immersed in worlds of her own creation. Married to the alpha hero of her dreams for twelve years, she is the mother of three young sons who spend most of their time trying to make her as crazy as possible.
