"It's spring fever. That is what the name of it
is. And when you've got it, you want - oh, you don't quite
know what it is you do want, but it just fairly makes
your heart ache, you want it so!" ~Mark
Twain
This poem reminds me of my heroines heart in my latest
release. She has come to the ranch a virtual stranger, a
rebellious, stubborn woman bent on protecting her brusied
heart. She never expects to be drawn into the close-knit
family or the community, and she battles whether to allow
her heart to hope again that she can love and be loved
again.
Similarly, I think many of us ache for warmer whether and
being able to get outside to dig in the dirt, have those
pots of color brightening our doorsteps, seeing the green
leaves against a clear blue spring sky!
What do you look forward to as the spring approaches?

Rein Mackenzie knows pain, but being raised by a benevolent
Uncle, he is determined to bring to fruition his goal of
making the ranch a haven for the lost. But when Liberty,
half-sister to the men he calls his brothers, arrives
unexpectedly, she brings with her danger—not only to
his heart, but to his family as well!
