When the Bogotá chief of police becomes aware his green
notebook is missing, he assigns Osvaldo Mendosa to recover
it. Mendosa is a Colombian and is the major shareholder in
Velocitor, a golf club manufacturing concern recently
acquired by the Serian Company. Glendale Police Sergeant
Kay Wells suspects him of using the Serian Company as a
front for smuggling cocaine. When Mendosa, an avid golfer
and gambler, is challenged to a golf match by Meg Serian,
widow of the company's murdered CEO, the sergeant arranges
for a police search of Velocitor's premises. The outcome
of the match and the search lead to changes of heart and
opinion, as well as to some questions that need answers:
Why is the green notebook so important that three people
were brutally murdered for just knowing it exists? How is
the cocaine smuggled into Glendale? Who are the ultimate
consumers? Is Osvaldo Mendosa a hero or an assassin?
