Savor the sweetness of new love with Bliss's new romance...

She could never trust a cop...

Teacher Kate Abbott's fresh start in Still Harbor was the beginning of the life that she and her two best friends always imagined for themselves. Still, being a working single parent of a special needs daughter hasn't exactly improved Kate's love life. But Kate's preference for nachos over men quickly disappears when she meets the oh-so-sexy Matt Lane.

Until she finds out he's a cop.

Matt is a former cop-turned-private investigator, and he knows fear when he sees it. A cop clearly spooked Kate...or hurt her. Still, something about the gorgeous professor catches his attention, and despite his "no settling down" policy, he can't resist her. But all of the attraction in the world won't be enough to overcome Kate's past...

Re: Falling for the P.I.

Does not bother me.

Hi Victoria, congrats on the new book! I like it when kids are thrown into the mix, they certainly helps to liven things up. As long as the kids are not totally bratty, then I'm all for having them in romance books.

I can go either way when it comes to kids being in books. It really depends on my mood. There are times when you want to read a real "classic" Romance, and other times when you're in the mood for a more laid-back style of Romance. That's where the kids would come in. Both have their moments, and both are equally as enjoyable. When I started to read your posting about your latest book, it actually made me start to laugh, and I'm looking forward to reading it. Congratulations on your latest book!! I'm sure it will do well.

It really doesn't matter to me . I have six grandchildren ages 20 down to a 4 and 5 years old, when they all are at my house there's not a dull or quite moment ,so children can certainly make things more lively . I've read some very good books with children in them and I would love to read your book. I can imagine the look that Matt Lane would have when he opens the door not expecting to see children .LOL Thanks for this chance to win .

I do enjoy books both with and without kids... sometimes they add just that something little extra to a story.

Colleen Conklin 12:59pm August 18, 2015)

Kids can add a new dimension to a story, but there's times when I like reading just a good ole' love story where the writer focuses on the couple only.

some time i'm in the mood for kids and romance and sometime
i just i want real romance.
(
Emily Stemp 2:32pm August 18, 2015)

It depends on the story....
(
Liz Digman 8:50pm August 18, 2015)

I've read both types of stories. I've read books where the
children were infants and where the children were adults. A
lot depends on the lead characters, and the story itself. In
some books, children can add an extra dimension; in other
books they can feel extraneous to me.

I like books with kids if they fit the storyline, because kids bring so much depth and humor to a story.
(
Marcy Shuler 9:09pm August 18, 2015)

I love reading romance period. They can or cannot include
kids and I'll still enjoy them. Usually kids can make a book a
really fun if written well because you never know what kids
are going to do or say.
(
Maria Smith 11:07pm August 18, 2015)

Usually having kids in the mix makes the story fuller. I'm a reader who likes
the storyline more than the romance. The romance is the icing on the cake!
Thanks for the chance in the contest.
(

Either is fine.
(
Pam Howell 8:51am August 19, 2015)

I like both. When children are involved, there's usually a little
mayhem added too. They tend to add a little spice to the mix of
characters.
(
Nancy Luebke 4:44pm August 19, 2015)

love kids romance books. kids bring out the soft side of
men and sometimes women.
(
Emily Stemp 8:01pm August 19, 2015)

I love kids in a romance book! They add an element of humor and make me laugh!
(
Amy Morgan 9:51am August 20, 2015)

I like the kids.
(
Charlene Fraley 10:08pm August 20, 2015)

I like both really...children can add that softer side to a rough hero that I like. But either is fine with me. I just love romances.
(
Bonnie Capuano 11:01pm August 20, 2015)

Either way. I slightly prefer books without kids, but kids
being in the story doesn't effect my enjoyment of the book.
(
Betsy Bennett 11:18pm August 20, 2015)

Either way! I like when kids are involved but not when they
are put in any kind of danger.
(
Nicole Bouchey 11:23am August 21, 2015)

I enjoy book with and without children. It's the plot that is important to me. The information about your new book makes me want to read it.
(
Anna Speed 12:32pm August 21, 2015)

I enjoy books of all kinds ,kids or without.
(
Jean Benedict 2:50pm August 21, 2015)

I enjoy books of all kinds, but they must have a good plot.
Your new book sounds like it fits the bill.
(
Marcia White 5:11pm August 21, 2015)

I never really thought about it! So I guess I don't care either
way!
(
Denise Austin 9:53pm August 21, 2015)

I don't care either way. As long as the story fits the
characters, I will enjoy it. I do know that hurting kids in
a story-line, whether it be emotional hurt from a loss of a
parent or whatever really tends to make me more emotional
during the read. Your book sounds very intriguing, it's
been added to my TBR list. Thanks for the opportunity!
