My favorite event is when our kids and grandkids all get together, at least as many as can. We have been trying to do that in the summer for the last 5 years or so. They all live so far apart that we can only manage it once a year. We have a very good time!
(
Elaine Klingbeil 3:25pm February 4, 2015)

Rebecca, Kathy, and JoAnne, so lovely to see you here! Thanks for chiming
in.

What is the most favorite event you’ve ever attended?
i don't know if it was really a 'event' to anyone but me, but when i turned 50 i went to sea world to touch a dolphin. it was more amazing than i ever thought! thanks for your help so i could find this page!
(
Kat Sadi 3:40pm February 4, 2015)

I always chose one day when the kids got to stay home from school and spend it with their grandparents. Everyone felt special!

Kat Sadi, touching a dolphin is amazing!!!

My favorite (ongoing) event is the Minneapolis Renfaire,
which we've attended over the years with many of our
closest friends.

Would love to own this book because I want to try a couple of those recipes.
(
Andrea Abel 5:08pm February 4, 2015)

I've been lucky to attend many great events. A favorite is the annual Wine and Herb Festival around Cayuga Lake. At the first winery you receive a wine glass and garden design chart. At every winery on the trail (16) you get an herb plant, food made with that herb, wine tastings to match, and the recipe! A wonderful event.

I love that the jewelry helps homeless pets too!
(
Kathleen Kaminski 5:37pm February 4, 2015)

I've not attended many events----but one of my favorite day
outings was a day at Disneyland many many moons ago.
(
Sue Farrell 5:49pm February 4, 2015)

One of my favorite events is called "Train Days". For a
couple of weekends every fall, Amtrak runs a special train
so that the passengers can enjoy the fall foliage in the
mountains and valleys of West Virginia. The train stops for
2 or 3 hours in my hometown of Hinton. So, the city closes
off our main street for a couple of blocks and vendors come
from all over the state and surrounding states to sell
everything from cotton candy to local wine. It's a time to
wander around, eating as you walk, examine the wares and
reunite with friends you haven't seen since the last "Train
Days". Thank you so much for the generous contest and I'll
certainly pass along the information about the I Love Dogs
Jewelry. And thank you for all the great recipes, they're
almost enough to make me want to cook!

I love cheese and your books have some of the best recipes.
Food and a good mystery is the best way to spend a day that has nothing happening and you can just be lazy.

The books summary made me smile, a whole town celebrating
Valentine's Day with a week of events? Too cool. It rivals
my favorite local event of a month celebrating a chosen
book. The local library does a kickoff handing out free
copies to guests and there is a month of events connected to
the book/story/author.
(
G. Bisbjerg 11:49pm February 4, 2015)

Wow, I love all these special events. The Train Days sounds amazing. A
library week to choose a book sounds like so much fun. A winter ball and
feeling like Cinderella? Too cool! You've all given me some great ideas for
future books!! Thanks for chiming in!

My favorite event I've attended so far is a Lunar New Year "Family Day" event where all the families gathered to celebrate the different cultures (Korean, Japanese, Chinese, Himalayan etc...) as well as sample the traditional foods served during new years.

year.

Rachael Brown 9:54am February 5, 2015)

I look forward to the Art and Craft Festivals that they hold
in town every Summer. Being an avid knitter, crocheter, and
crafter, it's nice to walk up and down our main street,
which they close down, to look at the wares for sale, get
ideas, and sometimes purchase items for sale. There is also
one other thing that I got to get involved in last year for
the first time and it's called the World's largest Garage
Sale. It stretches for miles along the one side of our
State, and I'm not sure if it goes any further or not, but
the sale is huge!! My Husband and I only drove for about 50
miles or so, and stopped at the harbor, to take in the
boats, which made for a beautiful day!! I'm looking forward
to reading your latest book, which sounds like another event
which can't be missed!! Congratulations!!
(

Favourite event??? The RNA conference last year in Telford. It was an eye opener!
(

Probably when I went to see maroon 5 in October of 2013
(
Genevieve Meredith 12:35pm February 5, 2015)

My most favorite event personally attended with me participating was a BOSTON CREM PIE competition yes, in Boston, where there were two categories one for professional chefs/bakers and one for amateur. Long story short, I came in third with hundreds of entries and honestly, how the judges could taste that many Boston Cream Pies (showing your printed recipe) was beyond me. Only first prize won anything and I also had my hand painted cake platter go missing but it was a long but fun day seeing all the professional chefs who were participating and being there watching the judging.

I always loved local cooking competitions and recipe and food contests, having won a lot of them which I totally loved to do. But it has been a long time since all of these events but I do have vivid memories of them to fall back on.
Thank you for the lovely giveaway pendant contest.

Sincerely,
Cynthia

Love the title.

I love to read as often as possible. At age 70 am now using a walker and cannot attend many activities as before. Used to love going to the youth fair but it is too much walking for me.

I used to live in Ninety Six, SC and every year they have a
Civil war reenactment. It's so much fun to see how they
lived in the Civil war era and the people there are so
nice. Thank you so much for the contest. Question, where
do you get the titles for your books? Very clever.
(
Val Pearson 11:12am February 6, 2015)

One of the best "events" I've ever been to was Harambe Nights
at Disney's Animal Kingdom. Our dear friends from Canada, my
youngest daughter and I attended one of the special programs
in celebration of the 20th anniversary of The Lion King. It
was a truly amazing performance.
(
Joanne Kocourek 12:56pm February 6, 2015)

My favorite event? Our family vacation each year sometimes its very special - we went to Egypt last summer and sometimes its simpler - the year before was Mount Rushmore. I also try to learn something new wherever we go and of course, pass it on to my children.
(
Janis Milford 1:02pm February 6, 2015)

My favorite event so far was attending a football game between the NY Giants and the Washington Redskins. I had won the tickets. A friend of mine suggested I bring her fiance with me since he really loves football, and I didn't know a whole lot. Oh, did I mention that one of the executives at the small company where I worked was an avid Washington Redskins fan - he thought it should be illegal to give free tickets to someone who knows nothing about football. It was cold, but we had a great time watching the NY Giants not only win the game over the Redskins, but also get a spot in the playoffs!
(
Joanne Schultz 3:29pm February 6, 2015)

My favorite event? A cruise of the Caribbean. It was absolutely
amazing!
(
Abigail Lo 8:47pm February 6, 2015)

My favorite event is when a Friend and I went and stayed at an old Historical Hotel in Devon, rode the train, and visited Exeter including the famous Cathedral. The weather was lovely and cool...the fish and chips were great. I highly recommend it...
(
Marilyn Watson 5:29am February 7, 2015)

My favorite event is getting to spend quality time with my two grandchildren, who are both Type 1 diabetic, the most recent event was a fund raiser for Children with life threatening disorders.
(
Janie Prather 7:36am February 7, 2015)

I like a lot of events-- kite festivals, hockey games, plays, baseball games, street
fairs, what-have-you. But it is a particular pleasure to me that my origami-
making, hockey-playing son, now ten, loves to go to plays, including Boulder's
Summer Shakespeare Festival. We missed that when he was too small for it!
(
Mary Ann Dimand 12:38pm February 7, 2015)

The artwork on your book covers are so interesting. They are good enough to put in a picture frame and hang on the wall. The story inside of the book cover is fun too. lol.
(

My fave event I ever attended was my graduation from law school! If that doesn't count, then it would be a governor's reception for the Florida Supreme Court at the governor's mansion in Tallahassee, it was pretty swanky and amazing

(
Renee Brown 7:23pm February 7, 2015)

I know this is a cliche, but my daughter's wedding! I have food
allergies and normally dread food events because of all I can't
eat. But she had discussed it with the caterer ahead of time
and arranged to have gourmet items that I still dream about!
(
Marcia Berbeza 8:29pm February 7, 2015)

My favorite event that I have attended is the Holiday Folk Fair International in Milwaukee, WI. It's an indoor expo where you can sample foods from all over the world, see traditional dances from different countries, and buy goods at booths from lots of different countries. It is SO much fun, I've gone several times. My first time was with my German high school class and then I dragged several boyfriends along in later years. Now it's been over 15 years since I've been and I live six hours away, but I plan to take my family one of these years. I know they would love it! (Thanks for making me remember this event---maybe this will be the year!) Also, I would love to win one of your cheese shop mysteries!
(
Juli Lear 8:35pm February 7, 2015)

I love jewelry and would love to win. My favorite 'events' are when I go to the Nursing Homes and 'entertain'. I line dance with a group of young ladies that are 60 years of age or older. We have a 'ball', it is so much fun. We started out as an exercise group getting together , now we feel like we are doing something for others also . Hope to win.
(
Joan Thrasher 8:40pm February 7, 2015)

I attended a Chef's Dinner on board a cruise ship and since I
love to cook, (and eat) this was a dream come true. So many
courses, with wine for each course, a description of the food
by the head chef and at the end of the meal, a cookbook to
take home so I can relive all the wonderful dishes I sampled.
(
Sharon Strickland 9:39pm February 7, 2015)

Very beautiful necklace. My favorite event that I
attended, well I have to say was the Romantic Times Book
Lovers Convention in Orlando several years ago. I had
such a time meeting the authors and models. I was even
asked to be a photographer at the event. I had brought
my camera with me since I had read what would happen I
wanted to get several good photos for prosperity sake. I
sent in 12 discs of photos that I had taken and had
several printed in magazine as an attendees view of the
event. I had period dresses that my mother made for the
occasion. My friend Vicki and my mother were with me. We
attended one of the author's chat sessions and some of
the questions she asked our answers were put into stories
in her books. Several of my answers she loved and we
chatted for some time. It was so wonderful.
