Romance Contemporary

Widowed rancher Cole Forrester is all about running his family's ranch and guarding his heart. The last thing he's looking for is love, but when his little sister can't make it home to handle some of her wedding details, he's forced to entertain the event planner, Melanie Simms. Melanie is everything he's not even remotely interested in: she's high-society, complicated, and high maintenance. But when he's stranded with her at his remote cabin in the Colorado mountains, he realizes he's seriously underestimated her. She's hiding something about her past from him, but despite everything, he finds himself falling for the last woman he ever expected, and the first woman to make him want to give his heart and risk everything...

(
Sarah Hansrote 2:36am March 12, 2014)

Since I'm 5'10" and a tad overweight, I like my heroes to be strong (and tall) men who can carry me away in my dreams.
(
Elaine Seymour 7:49am March 12, 2014)

I love the ruggedness of a cowboy.
(
Pam Howell 7:49am March 12, 2014)

No man can be all thing to every woman...he just has to be all things to just one special woman!
(
Bonnie Capuano 8:16am March 12, 2014)

I don't care for cowboys because I associate them with Republicans.
(
Diane Pollock 8:19am March 12, 2014)

I think you summed up what I love about cowboys with your list.
(
Jen Barnard 8:26am March 12, 2014)

(
Wilma Frana 10:01am March 12, 2014)

To me, a cowboy is a hard-working, honest, down-to earth, what-you-see-is-what-you-get kind of guy. He wears his heart on his sleeve, and you can't help but love him. He loves his woman as much as he loves the land, his horses, and his herd. That might sound corny, but it's true. He respects what he loves, and it shows. You couldn't find a more honest guy, and that's why a woman falls for him every time. He's simple, from his clothes, to his feelings. I love the cover to your book, and I'm looking forward to reading what's in between the covers!! Congratulations on what I'm sure is going to be a great book!!
(
Peggy Roberson 10:24am March 12, 2014)

I love cowboy books - cowboys are sexy, hard working and I love the drawl.
(
Pat Lieberman 10:54am March 12, 2014)

still do that.
(
Mary Hay 11:15am March 12, 2014)

I love me some cowboys and always have my father was always
reading cowboy books and watching them on TV so I think that
is why I love them so much now. I grew up learning about them
(
Gail Hurt 11:41am March 12, 2014)

Love a strong, rugged, loyal to family and friends cowboy.
A big plus with a cowboy is there are horses involved. I love horses.
(
Gigi Hicks 11:51am March 12, 2014)

Ooooh I love cowboys. Grew up on a farm and my Dad was a real cowboy. I still miss him!
(
Denise Austin 12:52pm March 12, 2014)

(
Colleen Conklin 1:01pm March 12, 2014)

Looks like a good read. Love cowboy themed books.
(
Tina Lechuga 1:02pm March 12, 2014)

You have some excellent characteristics. I'd add these: smart, honest, and a good sense of humor.
(
G S Moch 2:42pm March 12, 2014)

I love that they're hard working, the stubborn part would not
be on my top ten though.
(
Anne Muller 4:29pm March 12, 2014)

Everything on your list plus: their innate respect for
others especially women - a true cowboy will always hold the
door open for a woman; and of course their honesty and
integrity.

Also, you can't forget the physical -- love those boots and
jeans. :-D
(
Glenda Martillotti 4:44pm March 12, 2014)

I have loved cowboys since I was a little girl back in the 50's watching westerns. Your top 10 pretty much sums it up. However, I would add honest and a good sense of humor. If you have a good sense of humor, it is easier to work things out with your mate.
(
Cathy Phillips 4:50pm March 12, 2014)

I think cowboys are on the shy side, a little reserved but so polite and will to go the extra mile for someone.
(
Barbara Studer 4:56pm March 12, 2014)

Ok, but I do like them all in chaps...
(
Cate Sparks 4:58pm March 12, 2014)

Cowboys are strong, rugged and hard working. They also look cute sitting on a horse.
(
Rita Wray 5:20pm March 12, 2014)

I would like to have all of those in a man!
(
Vicki Hancock 5:57pm March 12, 2014)

Any of them will do and I will review any I win.
(
Jane Squires 5:59pm March 12, 2014)

All of them sound ideal
(
Jeri Dickinson 6:09pm March 12, 2014)

I've always loved cowboys since sharing in watching many westerns as a child, with John Wayne, Clint Eastwood, and of course, Gunsmoke along with my Dad. He always had a western/cowboy novel in his hands. I started reading cowboy/western historical romances when I was older. I always like the rugged overall look of cowboys and their tough attitudes and watching them ride off on their horses.
(
Linda Luinstra 6:39pm March 12, 2014)

I love cowboys and agree with your list, but would add humor.
(
Carol Woodruff 7:07pm March 12, 2014)

I love cowboy heroes because their muscles come from hard work and they're loyal and honorable. The jeans and chaps don't hurt either. ;)
(
Marcy Shuler 7:14pm March 12, 2014)

I think it's their drive and determination that is the tops
on my list! :)
(
Dianne McVetty 7:51pm March 12, 2014)

They are all male.
(
Deb Pelletier 8:25pm March 12, 2014)

cowboys are fun and this sounds good
(
Debbi Shaw 8:33pm March 12, 2014)

I love their sense of humor. It always pops up when you least expect it!
(
Laura Gullickson 8:44pm March 12, 2014)

I like their down to earth expectations, they say it like it is. Of course, their habit to "say it like it is" tends to make them rather rough around the edges and in need of some feminine balancing in their lives.
(
Donna Holmberg 9:15pm March 12, 2014)

I love that swagger walk cowboys have. They always seemed to have a great physique.
(
Kai Wong 9:23pm March 12, 2014)

(

I was a city cowboy as a lad
(
Richard Burr 11:01pm March 12, 2014)

I love everything about cowboys. From the way they walk, to
the way they smile.
(
Mary Preston 5:56am March 13, 2014)

guys!
(
