Young Adult Science Fiction

I pushed down a key. The hair on the back of my neck shot up, and my skin tingled.
I imagined this was what it felt like to fall in love.
In that moment, I was ready to fall.

Life is bleak but uncomplicated for Tess, living in a not-too-distant future where the government, faced with humanity’s extinction, created the Chosen Ones, artificial beings who are extraordinarily beautiful, unbelievably strong, and unabashedly deadly.

When Tess begins work at Templeton, a Chosen Ones training facility, she meets James, and the attraction is immediate in its intensity, overwhelming in its danger. But there is more to Templeton than Tess ever knew. Can she stand against her oppressors, even if it means giving up the only happiness in her life?

I haven't read enough dystopian novels to be sick of them just yet, ha ha. I think that a lot of people feel like our society is on the brink of destruction. People worry about the economy, government, privacy, etc. Dystopian novels play into those feelings right now and are a perfect fit. I'd love to read your book!

I'm kind of picky about the dystopian novels I choose to read, but I saw a
blog post about yours quite a while ago and added it to my TBR list right
away. It sounds really good!
Thanks for the chance to win a copy, and good luck with your book
release!

love the android angle...have always had a thing for robots that look human...LOL...I don't typically read dystopian novels, but then I've never heard of ones that are romance so this is very interesting to me!

I love dystopian books and only wish I had the funds to buy
more of them. They are always so imaginative and make for a
great read most of the time.

Hi, Tiffany!! That teaser of yours for your book wasn't very nice!! You didn't give us quite enough to whet our appetite!! I thought there were going to be a couple more sentences to the tease, and then you went into an explanation of the story line!! I was so bummed!! The book sounds really good, and I am interested in reading it!! I don't mind that much what the story line is about. I've lived long enough to experience just about everything, so I can put myself in the place of the main character as I'm reading the book. As for dystopia, I could write my own book!! lol Good luck on your latest book, and I'll be waiting with baited breath for it to come out!!

Peggy Roberson 9:14pm June 8, 2012)

I'm actually enjoying Dystopian right now. It fascinates.
(
Mary Preston 10:39pm June 8, 2012)

You're right, there is a lot of dystopian out right now, but I
have to say your book's premise stands out to me. Definitely
something I'd pick up and want to read. Thanks for the
giveaway opportunity!
(
Laura Garofalo 11:12pm June 8, 2012)

I grew up reading science fiction so there is nothing new in dystopian novels or short stories for me. However there is always someone out there who has not read them so it is good to bring an alternate view of the world to such readers. Maybe they are lured in by the romance angle or they just think the cover looks so hot they have to read the story! And then your characters will show them other ways of living, viewpoints and reasons to question... sure, go ahead and write more of them. We'll be reading.
(
Clare O'Beara 6:17am June 9, 2012)

I didn't know about the word dystopian until a few years ago. I think bending the usual patterns of human behavior and coming up with new ones to take the place is pretty interesting.
