Romance

Loneliness will take a man places...

Jesse Garahan has plenty of Irish charm, but having had his heart demolished twice, he's sworn off women forever. Until the fateful day he meets Danielle Brockway and her tiny daughter Lacy on their way to their new home in Pleasure, Texas.

But there may be places he doesn't want to go...

Fiercely protective of her little girl, Danielle isn't about to let Jesse get anywhere close enough to hurt either of them, no matter how much longing she sees in his eyes...

Re: Jesse

Some guys can't help falling for little girls, others prefer a cheeky boy to play ball with... a father I know said walking around with a baby in a sling on his chest was a great way to meet nice women, but of course he only learnt this after he'd married so it wasn't much use!

This book sounds so good. I'm looking forward to reading it. Thanks so much for a chance to win it!!
(
Bonnie Capuano 8:17am July 13, 2012)

LOL! I love it Clare! One of my brother's friends swore that the way to get a woman's attention was to borrow another friend's puppy and take it for a walk in the park. :)
(
C.H. Admirand 8:30am July 13, 2012)

Thanks, Bonnie. I really loved spending time in Pleasure, Texas while writing this series. :)
(
C.H. Admirand 8:36am July 13, 2012)

This book sounds great - and I love cowboys. I'd love the chance to win a copy of your book. Best of luck with it!
(
Nancy Reynolds 9:38am July 13, 2012)

I too have wonderful memories of my Grandmother. Aren't we fortunate!
Blessings,
Marjorie

Girls are trouble in pairs-- that is why I have three boys
(
Audra Holtwick 10:16am July 13, 2012)

Oh how I would love to win. Thank goodness I have boys too!
(
Kim Cornwell 10:19am July 13, 2012)

I already have the book but loved this story about Jesse, he was such a gentleman and he falls in live with this little girl from the very start and any cowboy would help a lady out with anything for thats what cowboys do! I loved all three brothers books-I love cowboys but the way C.H. tells a story is so wonderful and of course all her 3 cowboys are hunks and quite sexy!
(
Carole Fiore 10:23am July 13, 2012)

Sounds like a great book. I'd love to win it. I raised six boys myself.
(
Wilma Frana 10:23am July 13, 2012)

Sounds like a delightful story. The dark haired, dark eyed, handsome as sin Irishmen is one I'd love to read about. When I was a teenager, 16, I had a romance down the shore with an Irish boy. Alas he was only there for the Summer to work. We did spend a lot of time together.
(
Lucy Pinto 10:26am July 13, 2012)

Hey Nancy...tall, dark, handsome and cowboy...what's not to love? Thanks:)
(
C.H. Admirand 10:40am July 13, 2012)

What a wonderful visual of a tiny little girl all in pink including a Stetson!! Thanks for the giveaway opportunity!
(
Cate Sparks 10:48am July 13, 2012)

Marjorie, I totally agree. I have the best memories of both of my grandmothers. We have been blessed, haven't we?
(
C.H. Admirand 10:51am July 13, 2012)

LOL, Audra! We have three darlings...adults now...two sons and a daughter in the middle. We used to wake up to the sound of something bouncing off the sheetrock wall in the boys' room. It was usually our youngest son.
(
C.H. Admirand 10:53am July 13, 2012)

Hmmm...another vote for boys!?! Thanks Kim :)
(
C.H. Admirand 10:54am July 13, 2012)

I can't wait to read Jesse, it sounds great!!! I am reading Tyler and then Dylan so it will be a bit before i get to it but i can't wait.... thank you for the chance to win....
(
Elizabeth Keckler 10:54am July 13, 2012)

Waving to Carole!!! Thanks so much for visiting and posting today. You are the best! I'm sooo glad you enjoyed reading about the Garahan brothers. :)
(
C.H. Admirand 10:55am July 13, 2012)

Sounds fantastic!! Can't wait to read this!
(
Melanie Pashon 11:01am July 13, 2012)

OK, Wilma...you are definitely THE woman for having raised 6 boys :)
(
C.H. Admirand 11:06am July 13, 2012)

Lucy, the Irish have such an endearing charm and way with words, I should know 3/4 of my heritage is Irish :) Were you in Spring Lake, NJ? It used to be called the Irish Riviera in it's golden days. My grandparent had their summer home there, whenever I think of the shore, I think of Spring Lake :)
(
C.H. Admirand 11:09am July 13, 2012)

Hey Cate - once little Lacy got out of the car, she took hold of my heart. :)
(
C.H. Admirand 11:19am July 13, 2012)

Thanks, Elizabeth:) Be sure to let me know what you think of the Garahan Brothers :)
(
C.H. Admirand 11:22am July 13, 2012)

Sounds interesting!!! Jesse seems to have found just what he needed by the side of the road.
(
Anna Speed 11:27am July 13, 2012)

I think I'll be adding these to my to-be-read list!
(
Marguerite Guinn 11:44am July 13, 2012)

I enjoyed Tyler's story, need to read about Dylan & Jesse too.
I adore stories where a big strong guy like Jesse melts when
they encounter a small child like Lacy.
(
Diane Sallans 12:42pm July 13, 2012)

This seems like a very wonderful story. I love how you addressed
beauty outside and within, as its always been one of my favorite
motifs in a book. I am thrilled to hear about Jesse and will add it to
my list of books I should read in the future. =)
(
Samantha King 12:47pm July 13, 2012)

I love your description of Lacy's little pink Stetson and cowgirl boots! Precious.
(
Catherine Lee 2:02pm July 13, 2012)

Enjoyed reading your blog, sounds like a great read.
(
Sheila True 2:13pm July 13, 2012)

I always enjoy Friday, the 13th. It has never been an unlucky day for me. I was born on a Saturday and Saturday's child works hard for a living. It fits! I'm a social worker and have been for over 30 years!
(
Sandy Fielder 2:17pm July 13, 2012)

Happy Friday the 13th!
Now that is a mighty fine looking cover! ;) I have enjoyed your cowboys before... looking forward to Jesse!
(
Colleen Conklin 2:30pm July 13, 2012)

Good looking cover! I adore family. In fact, I leaving
Sunday for a week at family camp...usually about 50 between
campers, day visitors and friends. It'll be a ball. Thanks
for the chance to win.
(
Mary Hay 3:10pm July 13, 2012)

I enjoy cowboy stories. Your covers are great looking! I just picked up your book, Dylan. The story sounds great for Jesse and the cuteness of little Lacy. I also only have only sons--three of them, grown-up now. Look forward to reading these and your new one coming out in Nov. Thanks!
(
Linda Luinstra 5:07pm July 13, 2012)

So true, Anna...he did. How cool that you share my great, great grandmother's name--she was Anna Garahan. :) I always use family names in my books and this series was in honor of her. :)
(
C.H. Admirand 5:13pm July 13, 2012)

Hey Marguerite! Thanks for adding the trilogy to your TBR list! :)
(
C.H. Admirand 5:14pm July 13, 2012)

Hey Melanie...I almost missed your post. I had so much fun writing this series, it's hard to say goodbye for now.
(
C.H. Admirand 5:14pm July 13, 2012)

I'm so glad you enjoyed Tyler & Emily's story, Diane. They were so special because their story came to me first....sortof like a first love. I have to agree about a big strong guy melting for a little one. Our sons are uncles now and it warms my heart to see how they react and interact with our darling grandbaby Jack who was 9 mos old yesterday. :)
(
C.H. Admirand 5:17pm July 13, 2012)

Thanks, Samantha. I've always felt that way about beauty on the inside. Since I do believe that beauty is in the eye of the beholder, I'm often baffled by the types of people that are attracted to one another. Great for characterizations though! :)
(
C.H. Admirand 5:18pm July 13, 2012)

Catherine, I could see Lacy in my mind's eye as she got out of the car--despite the fact that her mommy told her not to. Having seen those tiny little pink Stetsons and boots for sale, I knew I had to dress her in them. And have to confess to wanting--but never receiving--a cowgirl outfit for Christmas. I always wanted to be Dale Evans. :)
(
C.H. Admirand 5:20pm July 13, 2012)

Thanks, Shelia. I'm glad you enjoyed reading the blog:)
(
C.H. Admirand 5:20pm July 13, 2012)

Sandy, how interesting! Friday the 13th has usually been a lucky day for our family as well. Our youngest son was born on a Saturday, too :)
(
C.H. Admirand 5:26pm July 13, 2012)

Thanks, Colleen! I'm so happy to hear that you've enjoyed reading about Jesse's brothers. :)
(
C.H. Admirand 5:27pm July 13, 2012)

Hmmm...Mary...I've been camping twice. Both times we got rained on! The second time there was the added attraction of thunder and lightning! LOL! My mom was a huge lover of camping...dad never was, he preferred camping in the Holiday Inn! LOL
(
C.H. Admirand 5:29pm July 13, 2012)

Thanks, Linda. Please do let me know what you think of Dylan and Ronnie's story :) Sourcebooks does have great covers, don't they?
(
C.H. Admirand 5:30pm July 13, 2012)

I too wanted to be Dale Evans as a little girl. For one Christmas I did receive a Dale Evans cowboy hat and holster set.I thought I was the luckiest girl in the world.
Cowboys are my favorite male lead characters. Thanks for for writing "yummy" cowboy adventures!
(
Joanne Hicks 5:36pm July 13, 2012)

(
Shirley Younger 7:05pm July 13, 2012)

Sounds like a fun read
(
Rita Wray 7:13pm July 13, 2012)

Joanne! I am sooo jealous! Never got the outfit or the sixshooter, but my big brother did...he'd never let me use his gun, so I use to take the roll of caps out of it and use a rock to get them to go off. Never could figure out how our mom knew...guess it was the scent of spent caps! LOL.
(
C.H. Admirand 7:30pm July 13, 2012)

Thanks, Penney! I'm glad you think so. :) I loved writing the trilogy.
(
C.H. Admirand 7:30pm July 13, 2012)

Thanks, Chelsea. It just seemed to all come together once I realized Danielle's daughter would be one of the main characters. :)
(
C.H. Admirand 7:31pm July 13, 2012)

(
Patti Paonessa 7:34pm July 13, 2012)

Thanks, Shirley...my grandmother would have been 104 today! She lived to be 80 and got to see our youngest son walk.
(
C.H. Admirand 7:35pm July 13, 2012)

Thanks, Rita, it was a fun series to write, and at times I still get carried away thinking of going back to Pleasure, Texas and getting those handsome Garahans all riled up. :)
(
C.H. Admirand 7:36pm July 13, 2012)

OMGoodness, Shelly, thank you so much for the lovely compliment. :)
(
C.H. Admirand 7:37pm July 13, 2012)

I'm so glad, Patti. Please let me know what you think of the Garahan Brothers. :)
(
C.H. Admirand 7:38pm July 13, 2012)

I didn't have grandmothers so I hope I made up for it by being the best grandmaw I could be!
(
Kathleen Bianchi 7:58pm July 13, 2012)

I don't have any grandmother memories so I made sure I was around making them with my granddaughter. We have a special relationship.
(
Kathleen Bianchi 8:01pm July 13, 2012)

I love dads and little girls, a good relationship there sets her up for life!
(
Lisa Elwood 8:15pm July 13, 2012)

Sounds like a great book!

(
C.H. Admirand 8:57pm July 13, 2012)

Thanks so much, Dianne :)
(
C.H. Admirand 8:58pm July 13, 2012)

Oh!! How much I would love to read this book!! You tugged at my heartstrings with that short passage, and I want to read more!! I can picture that little girl Lacy, and Pleasure sounds like a wonderful place to imagine in my minds' eye for a couple of days, while I escape from this Summer heat!! You are quite a story-teller, and I want to go along for the ride!! Jesse on the cover has quite the expressive face as well, and I know he has a story to tell, too!! Thank you for writing what I know will be a great book!!
(
Peggy Roberson 9:13pm July 13, 2012)

Hi C.H.! I am so glad that westerns are making, or have made a come back!
(
Molly Wilsbacher 9:21pm July 13, 2012)

I fell a little in love with Jesse while I was reading Tyler's book. It was obvious that he was still a little boy on the inside. I have been waiting for him to get his HEA!
(
Jennifer Beyer 9:30pm July 13, 2012)

I think it's so endearing when a big, strong guy melts in the presence of a young child. Sounds like that little cowgirl will have him wrapped around her finger! Can't wait to read the rest of the story...
(
Michele Hayes 9:38pm July 13, 2012)

Sounds like a sweet read with a little more storyline and convincing from
Jesse a must!
(
Darci Paice 11:07pm July 13, 2012)

Your description of Lacy reminds me of a photo of my younger brother dressed in his cowboy outfit sitting on his rocking horse.
(
Mary C 11:43pm July 13, 2012)

Yes please. I know I am in for a wonderful read.
(
Mary Preston 6:00am July 14, 2012)

I think I found a new author to check out. LOve me some cowboy!!!
(
Barbara Studer 2:54pm July 14, 2012)

I like your blog and links to romance blogs and found plenty to check out. Cowboys melt my heart with all their hardworking and nonchalant rippling of ripped abs and arm muscles since they're always working out.
