Dylan does sound like a great character and the book sounds great. I do enjoy an Irish accent, I don't know why but it is very lyrical although I don't always understand what they are saying. (Maureen Emmons 6:14pm March 27, 2012)

There was a friend of mine whose parents sent him to Ireland for a year of boarding school. When he returned, he had the deep brogue, and was so polite!! Because we were about 11 or 12 at the time, he was a bit embarassed at the time, but I found it to be fascinating and different. At times it was a bit hard to understand, but I could have talked to him for hours!! He was so fortunate to be able to get that type of education. Love the conversation and it's one I've had before. Celtic people, talk and symbols remind me of a retreat I went on where we made runes from clay and looked at books on celtic knots. When I was a very young girl, I used to visit my Grand uncle and love to listen to him talk. Between him (Ted), my Uncle Father Patrick and my nana, I loved it. Now is no different, when I hear the accent,It will catch and hold me still. Now I get to go to my neighbors and listen to them all the time, it's funny every 2 years they go home to visit and when they come back to the USA their accent is always very heavy for a while. I met an author recently who travels to Ireland on a regular basis just to sit and write in a cottage. I think that is so idyllic. There is a sexiness in a man with a Celtic accent, because we hear it less often, it draws us in and we love listening to it which makes him more exciting, appealing and interesting. Having traveled to the amazing Emerald Isle, year ago. I fell in love with all things Irish. Hey, even kissed the Barney Stone. The people are so friendly and charming. Their accent was so wonderful to listen to. I will always cherish spending my 21st Birthday in a loud and wild Irish Pub. WTG on your writing skills. I guess I've always been interested in different nationalities and countries. After all, I'm an immigrant and grew up with my mother's stories of Scotland, France and our native German (that included my father). Actually, our whole family has always enjoyed travelling. I've been to Ireland, though I mostly spent with university friends living there. But I did get into Dublin on my own and the Celtic accent was a big part of that day. I just find it somehow charming and different, though it really doesn't sound as good on paper. But it may be easier to figure out what is being "said." (Sigrun Schulz 1:37am March 29, 2012)
