Re: Baer Truth

If I win, I like to send this to noted author, S. Still, who is a vegetarian and lives off the land in the mountains of California.

I have only been out west once (several years ago) and visited Jackson Hole, WYOMING. Very cool western town. We never went to Cheyenne (ironically my Shih Tzu who was almost 16 yrs. old, I'd named Cheyenne--she passed away this year). I love western contemporary romance stories and yours sounds good. It's funny how the mind wanders to come up with all the ideas originating from naming cows and cow jokes while traveling on the road. I'm sure hot, sexy, Joe Baer wouldn't give up his thick, juicy steaks to follow in Abby Clark's vegetarian footsteps even if she's a sex magnet for him! Can't wait to read your new books, and I haven't heard of "Frontier Days" before. There are a lot of cattle raised in that area and also buffalo. Thanks for the contest!

How fabulous to enjoy such an inspiring and entertaining vacation! Having lived a good part of my life in the western states, I well know how many stories can be mined in these parts and I applaud every one that is published! I hope to be favored with this opportunity to read a new one!

Good luck and happy writing!

I have never been to that part of the country, but I heard that it's beautiful!! Thank Goodness that you went there, or we wouldn't have a chance to read a book with such a terrific story line!! I can't wait to get my hands on it!! I love the cover to the book as well!! I think whoever did the artwork did such a great job on it. You don't always need couples snuggling on the cover to sell a book. This was very clever, and fits the story line well. I think you have gone to the top of my TBR list!! Congratulations on your book!!

I remember the day a frog landed on my windshield on the way out of the gas station. When I said to my daughter, "There's a frog on my windshield." It turned into a story. Truth is stranger than fiction.

I live in the west, and I love every minute of it. Seeing the mountains everyday inspires romantic stories in my mind. I wish I had the time to put them on paper, but I am fulfilling my dream of becoming a nurse instead. When I find time for other things besides text books, I reach for a romantic novel and a glass of wine. I look forward to reading your novel next. Thank you.

I have often had that thought and chuckled to myself. I would love to find out your take on it.

My first reaction: Snort!!

My second reaction: Well, yeah. It works for friends of mine, so why wouldn't it work for a rancher and his lady?

My third reaction: I can't wait to get this book!

Later,

Lynn, hoping to win, but will buy it otherwise!!

Thank you all so much for taking the time to comment. It means
a lot to any author, particularly a newbie like me! The West
is just awesome! If you live there I envy you, if you don't
visit! While the Abby doesn't "convert" the cowboys
completely, they do learn a bit about tofu!! - Linda

I like ranches and cowboys/cowgirls where it's more of a Dude or Dudette ranch. There just seems to be plenty of wide open spaces and the hay which goes with farming and I love when cityfolk become countrified.

Sounds like a conflict that goes way beyond cowboy boots and 6 inch heels. Sounds like a lot of fun. Can't wait to get this one downloaded.
(
Christina Harrison 9:38pm October 5, 2011)

Wow, I remember when I was little I wanted to grow up to be a cowboy. Then I got to be a teenager and read all of my Dads Lois Lamoure books. Love a good cowboy story and yours sounds like great fun.
