(
Maureen Emmons 11:31am August 3, 2011)

It strikes me that a lot of these first crushes seem based on convenience--a cute
older guy you happened to see often, because he was related to someone you
knew! Which is exactly the case for my heroines, Jules, too...
(
Louisa Edwards 11:32am August 3, 2011)

Michele Powell 12:27pm August 3, 2011)

I had plenty of celeb crushes, I don't even think at the time I understood
what it was about Indiana Jones that made me watch over and over. But
my break my heart crush.. unfortunately, was a friend. We hung out,
knew people, went to movies, clubs, dinners, functions...years and years.
From helping with him being locally elected to him helping me through
my medical problems.. but I wanted so much more, looking in his eyes,
my heart would pause and flip and there was one time, but, life happens.
We email almost every week, I saw him 2 years ago and my heart still
flipped. Now I'm the one that he compares everyone to, but I wonder if
too much time has gone by. I still crush on him though, he still holds my
heart.
(
Carla Carlson 12:32pm August 3, 2011)

My first crush was my older brothers best friend, everytime he'd come over I would run to my room and change clothes and put my hair down instead of a pony tail. I was crazy he would say hi and I got all red. I use to bake and I love to bake but just getting a compliment from him was over the top! He's still my brothers friend and he's remarried but was a rock when my mom died, he was there for all of us. He's so sweet! And were good friends...
(
Carole Fiore 12:34pm August 3, 2011)

I have spent a lot of time questioning myself over the years. Who am I? Will I ever know? Am I doing this right? Am I making the right choices? Etc, etc. But, falling in love for the first time...I KNEW. The first time I saw him...I 100% knew. I will never forget that feeling. It was life altering.
(
Jennifer Young 12:41pm August 3, 2011)

Y'all are making me laugh AND cry with these stories!
(
Louisa Edwards 1:25pm August 3, 2011)

Ah my first love.. I remember him like it was yesterday and it was many, many years ago. He was older, so sophisticated, and was also off limits.. But did that stop me from having my heart broken.. so sir.. He tried to let me down easy, but alas it did not happen. But life went on and so did I.
I can't wait to read this new book..
(
Kathleen O'Donnell 1:35pm August 3, 2011)

I was in grade 5. :) The only reason that I like him was because he talked to me! Back then, it was a BIG deal. :)
(
May Pau 1:48pm August 3, 2011)

Can't remember my first crush, but I do remember my first real love. When he broke up with me it broke my heart! We tried a reconciliation, but at our tender ages it just didn't work.

Good luck with your new title. Can't wait to read it!
(
Sandi Shilhanek 1:54pm August 3, 2011)

Oddly enough, my first crush was the person I married. We dated for 9 years before we married and I loved him, and still do the whole time.
(
Shirley Younger 2:07pm August 3, 2011)

My first crush... was a guy in my 6th grade class... oh boy, I loved that he sat at my group of tables everyday... I do not think he ever knew I had a crush on him...
(
Colleen Conklin 2:14pm August 3, 2011)

I think one of my earlier crush was the actor who played Todd Wilkins in the Swee Valley High tv show in the 1990s. I already liked him in the books so it was a naturally transition to crush on him on tv as well. That and the boy in my grade 3 class. Valentine's Day was also cute hoping to get a card...even though everyone received one from everyone lol.
(
Na S 2:36pm August 3, 2011)

My first crush was a neighbour boy. I didn't think he treated me well, though, so good riddance!
(
Elaine Seymour 2:45pm August 3, 2011)

My First Crush was my best friends ex but he was so lovely
and she treated him terribly! We were together for a while
when I found out he was kissing other girls behind my back,
Even my best friend! I was so heartbroken and I lost my best
friend because I couldn't trust her, eventually I forgave
her but it was never the same. I also forgave my boyfriend
and truly regret that because I couldn't love him like I did
before and eventually we both changed, we tried to stay in
contact but we are both different people and its too
strange.
(
Bex Challoner 3:00pm August 3, 2011)

(
Lisa White 3:10pm August 3, 2011)

My first crush was a friend of my sister. He had no idea I was in lust with him. He would pick me up, let me ride on his shoulders and i would sit on his lap. I was so much younger than him that he thought of me as a little baby. He would even drive me around in his convertible. I never told anyone I was so hot for him. I just enjoyed every minute. :)
(
Patti Paonessa 3:15pm August 3, 2011)

When I was old enough to realize what a crush really meant, it was a boy that lived by my cousins' house. Although the only times we spoke was when I went to see my Aunt or Grandmother, he did call my house and ask my Dad if he could take me out on a date. My Dad told him no. I was crushed (no pun intended), because my Dad felt he was from the "wrong side of the tracks." What my Dad didn't know was that he did come quite a distance to come see me on my job, during my break, just to get to know me a little better. Nothing ever became of it, but I still think about him all these years later. He was quite a looker, and from what I heard, a real family man who worked hard to provide for his family. All I ever wanted was one date with him, nothing more. Now if I could have a date with the guy on the cover of your book!! lol
(
Peggy Roberson 3:42pm August 3, 2011)

My first crush was my best buddy, but I never told him about it. Later he got together with another girl from our group, who treated him like shit. That hurt but he only saw his buddy in me.

(
Joelle Beebe 3:57pm August 3, 2011)

My first crush was a boy that sat in the front of me in Math class in the

made small talk about our work in class. One of my close friends told him

great time!!

(
Cathy Phillips 5:48pm August 3, 2011)

My first crush was the proverbial bad boy in our high school, and the jerk broke my teen heart by sleeping with my best friend when we were dating. And we had not progressed that far............Needless to say a happy ending for Jules would be wonderful!

First crush was my first hubby. Needless to say at 16 you are
NOT going to be the same person at 22. So of course it's not
going to last. Enjoy your crushes but wait for the real thing,
much less messier.
(
Lisa Richards 6:35pm August 3, 2011)

Go foward 46 years and believe it or not he lives in the same town as I do and lives even on the same road. He runs past my house and always says hi to me. Really weird after all of these years.

It has been so long ago I can't remember. The first one I can remember was a

anything.

My mother took care of his brother while their mother worked and G would come to pick the younger one up on his way home from school. Years later I was very glad that not been any closer.

Mine was a neighbor. He was 19 and I was 12. He was teaching me to play the guitar. He gave me his guitar to practice with when he joined the Army and went to Vietnam. When I found out he had been killed, I held his guitar and cried for weeks. Finally I took it over and gave it back to his momma.
(
Mary Baker 12:22pm August 11, 2011)

My first cruse was an older boy down the street he used to stop by when I was baby siting a lady's kids and I would sit outside when they had gone to bed. He would stop if he was riding by on his motorcycle. He had a southern accent, really dark tan and really white teeth, coal black hair, I was in lust. I was too young for him but I still wanted him!
They say they alwaays come back and usually when you don't want them any longer. That happened by then he'd been a long time drinker was a smoker (ack!) and wasn't working. I was married and not interested, my sister was but she dropped him like a hot potatoe after she got to know him. He liked to smoke pot too and she didn't want anything to do with that! I think I have a permanant love of cowboys, the twangs, the hot men in books! The fictional ones are the best!
