Saga

On a bitterly cold day in February, 1976, Tiggy arrives at the remote Bodmin Moor home of her best friend, Julia, in the middle of a snowstorm Tiggy has recently lost Tom, the love of her life, in a tragic accident, and is pregnant with his child. Although they hadn't yet made it to the altar, Tom and Tiggy had intended to be married, but the headmistress at the school where Tiggy worked didn't care about what might have been. The fact that Tiggy was unmarried and pregnant was unacceptable to her, and Tiggy was forced to leave. Julia opens her arms and welcomes her friend into her family at Bodmin Moor. It's not the first time that Tiggy has reached out to Julia. Years ago, when they were young, Tiggy found refuge with Julia's family after her father tried to abuse her.

Now, once again, Tiggy finds new strength here in the peaceful countryside with the adopted family that surrounds her. Julia's children are a delight, and Tiggy happily anticipates the birth of her own child. She comes to see her baby as a reason for hope and feels the child will keep Tom close to her in spirit. However, tragedy will find Tiggy again, and Julia will step in as a good friend once more.

Nearly thirty years later, Julia's children still tell stories about Tiggy, who came into their lives one stormy night and left her mark. Now, they are grown and navigating their own ways through adulthood. Tiggy's son is about to become a father himself, and Julia still finds her life intertwined with Tiggy's past. Yet, in the midst of new beginnings, the next generation soon discovers that there are secrets from the past that reverberate in the present. Infidelities, jealousies, and past loves that present new temptations arise to test the bonds of family and friendship.
