Paranormal | Romance Suspense

“Die!” scream her nightmares. The voice is her sister’s, the compulsion stronger than any ordinary dream.

Maddie Temple can’t go through this again. Her twin has been in a coma for the last ten years. Their psychic link was severed. At least, that’s what she thought.

But there’s a lot Maddie doesn’t know—about the 200-year- old curse on her family, about the shadowy group that wants to exploit the Temple twins’ powers for themselves, about the sexy psychiatrist offering to help her.

The only way to find the answers and avoid being pulled into the abyss of madness is to trust her heart and confront her... DARK LEGACY

Really agree with your statement about being "you" to the ultimate. Nothing is more fulfilling. Thank you.

Hi Anna,
I've read almost all your books and I love them.
I'm 67, but my kids tell me I'm not an "old lady" 67 and I think one of your Dark Legacy T-shirts would look pretty good on me.

I love your comment about how seeing others respond to your gift is a miracle everyone should experience. How true. No matter what gift each of us brings, that positive response from someone else makes it real and worthwhile.
(

(
Sharon Nelson 10:47am November 18, 2009)

I have always been fascinated by the paranormal, when I lived in NC attended several lectures at Duke University on the subject. Belief in the paranormal represents, I think, the human desire for the hope that lost loved ones are not entirely lost to us and that their spirit remains.
(
Shirley Hodge 10:53am November 18, 2009)

Whew! I finally got myself logged in. So THAT's why I wasn't seeing a place to comment ;o) See what sticking your nose in a book all day will do to your ability to reason!

Gothic "setting", twins with psychic

paranormal thriller sounds really good

somewhere down the line...Count me

(

Hi Anna,
I'm a person who has little and needs less. That is until it comes to books, I can read all the time and love my books. Happy Thanksgiving.
(
Jd Simm 3:51pm November 18, 2009)

Sean, I find that a writer has to make time for writing, if publishing is a dream you're determined to make come true. At some point, a published author's passion becomes a business, and the two halves can be a challenge to juggle.

But it's a wonderful life. Tell your wife to keep writing!!! And tell her good luck for me ;o)
(
Anna Destefano 4:15pm November 18, 2009)

Jackie--I'm writing the twin's spooky and gothic HEA even as I type this ;o) Of course, there are other families with legacies swirling around my brain... The Legacy series will hopefully have a lovely, fruitful life, LOL!
(
Anna Destefano 4:17pm November 18, 2009)

I used to dream conversations and later they would happen. When I was young I thought that if I wanted something to happen I should dream it and it would happen. Didn't work that way. I no longer get the dream conversations either :>(
(
Karin Tillotson 4:21pm November 18, 2009)

Thanks so much Alyson and Diana, and everone else for the wonderful support.

I LOVED Dark Legacy, for the uniqueness of the story and all the wonderful surprises that came as I wrote it. It's a thrill to hear readers respond so positively--especially my Harlequin followers who have embraced the more mainstream parts of DL.

You're all wonderful, and are a huge part of the positive energy that gets channeled back into my story telling ;o)
(
Anna Destefano 4:33pm November 18, 2009)

Karin--dream theory has been a passion of mine for a long time, because of my experiences as a child of dreams blending with reality. I think as adults we lose touch with the more quiet work our brains do. And the visions that reflect back what's most important to us.

But if we can be still and sensitive to the magic going on around and inside us, I think those voices are still there. Call them intuition or hunches or "just a feeling," but we're still dreaming every day in tangible ways that touch our lives
(
Anna Destefano 4:37pm November 18, 2009)

I find the dream theory concept very cool!! Can't wait to read them.
(
Mitzi Hinkey 5:00pm November 18, 2009)

I look forward in reading this and more in the series.

Thanks
(
Tracey Dent 5:10pm November 18, 2009)

Give me, Give me, Give me the Legacy Series. First it's Dark then its Secret can't wait!!
(
Laura McLendon 5:21pm November 18, 2009)

I absolutely loved the line where you state that we were born into this world to bring something only we can add to it. So very true. What a great blog.
(
Maude Allen 6:12pm November 18, 2009)

The cover is brilliant. The story looks superb. Thank you for sharing. I SO have my fingers crossed.
(
Mary Preston 6:16pm November 18, 2009)

Your Legacy books Look fantastic! I haven't thought this in years but back in the early 70's I studied in HS how the Russians were studing the paranormal. Your books seem to picking up what was going on back then.
(
Susan Lathen 7:32pm November 18, 2009)

Sounds like a very interesting book.

My MIL and I would both be interested in reading these two books.

Sounds fabulous! How nice that we are beginning to explore inner space and can accept psychic gifts as just another aspect of ourselves that we need to examine and use to the benefit of all.
