Romance Erotica Sensual | Romance Historical

The time is the Dark Ages, the place is Britannia. A Druid woman, indispensable to the new ruthless Saxon warlord for her gift of "sight" is allowed to live, but is sentenced to serve as apprentice to the Saxon executioner.

Sierra has lost everything, her home, her mother and her brother has been banished, left for dead in the winter wood. She must learn to survive, she must learn to put away the fear and she must learn to believe in the magic she possesses if she ever hopes to be free.

When a Roman warrior is captured, Sierra must decide whether to trust a traitor to her people, or believe that he alone can set her battered soul free and give her hope for a future.

I agree - the dark ages are very hard to research. It takes skill to pull a story out of the dark - so to speak. ;) Amanda does it with such finesse - she tugs at your heartstrings, and you'll find yourself rooting for the H & H from beginning to end.

Wow! I always say: "A woman has to do what a woman has to do". Could I be an executioner? A very interesting question, and a most unusal quandry for a romantic heroine. Thanks for providing a unique take on a historical romance tale!

The Dark Ages were a time (like too
many others) when you did what you
had to do to survive and prayed it
would work.
Congratulations on what sounds like a
great read!
(
Patricia Barraclough 10:42pm August 18, 2009)

HI Patricia and thank you for your kind words!
I quote one of my favorite reviews of this book when she said, that she was thankful that she lives in this day age! But she did like it calling it "a disturbingly touching tale of hope, love and survival."

It is outside the box, but believeably so, I think.
thank you for stopping in!
