A trainee Guardian in desperate need of a mentor, Aisling
Gray finds herself in Hungary just in time for an
international convention of Guardians.
Assisted by Jim, her
demon in-Newfoundland-dog-disguise, Aisling mentor shops in
between trying to locate the elusive hermit to whom she was
sent to deliver a very rare amulet that renders its bearer
irresistible to the opposite sex.
In between beating off
persistent, lovestruck admirers drawn to her by the amulet,
and trying to memorize the intricate wards needed to qualify
her for Guardian apprenticeship, Aisling soon finds all of her
potential mentors turning up dead without any visible sign
of death other than extremely sated expressions.
A brush
with a homicidal incubus leads her into a dark plot that
involves the destruction of Guardians, a plot that appears
to have its source in the handsome green-eyed dragon who
literally haunts her dreams.
Thrown once again into Drake's
company, her resistance to the dark, seductive lure he poses
fading with every meeting, she seeks the assistance of a
virgin named Tiffany, the one person who is not affected by
Drake's powers. Determined to rid herself of the temptation
Drake offers once and for all, Aisling and Tiffany team up
with the hermit to draw the incubi death squad into a trap
that will spring on the person behind the Guardians' deaths.
