Augusten Burroughs is the # 1 bestselling author of Magical
Thinking: true stories, Dry: a memoir, Running with
Scissors: a memoir and Sellevision, a novel. His books have
been published in fifteen countries and both Sellevision
and Running with Scissors have been optioned, and are in
production, for film. At the time of this writing, Running
with Scissors has been on the New York Times bestseller
list for over 70 consecutive weeks. Augusten was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and raised in
Western Massachusetts. He now lives in New York City and
Western Massachusetts with his partner, Dennis, and their
two French Bulldogs, Bentley and The Cow. Beyond books, Augusten's writing has appeared in newspapers
and magazines around the world. In addition, he writes a
monthly column for Details magazine and is a regular
contributor for National Public Radio's Morning Edition. Augusten tours extensively to promote his books, both here
